Memorializing Events in the Battle of Balaclava, October 25, 1854, Written 1854
Half a league half a league, Half a league onward, All in the valley of Death Rode the six hundred: ’Forward, the Light Brigade! Charge for the guns’ he said: Into the valley of Death Rode the six hundred.

Europhobia and Where it’s Taking Us
24 March 2008Alf Garnett: Patron Saint of British Europhobes and Bigots
This essay was written as a counterblast at the Europhobes on the UK 911 Truth Forum.
As I’ve been away from this thread whilst dealing with the Europe issue elsewhere, I thought it would be a good idea to summarise what has been going on.
It started with my publishing the European Left’s Athens Declaration in order that forum readers could be given an insight into an alternative Europe which they would otherwise miss given the (…) -
The Feudal Serf System in Tibet Before 1959
23 March 2008A Society Based on a Regime that Combined the Political and Religious Powers, and Divided People into Three Strata and Nine Grades Tibet before 1959 had a society of feudal serfdom. Along with the general characteristics of feudal serfdom, there were many remnants of slavery. This social system was more cruel and reactionary than serfdom in Europe in the Middle Ages. The serf-owners’ economic interests were protected by a political system that combined political and religious powers, ruling (…)

An International Emergency Statement of Intellectuals and Activists * - 05 February 2008. International Anti-Occupation Network
Bush’s failure in Iraq requires a new “success”. While the blood-soaked US occupation in Iraq declares one victory after another since nearly five years, it stages massacre after massacre of the people of Iraq. ow the occupation declares a new “decisive” success is imminent, this time against the population of Mosul, the second largest city (…) -
The Truth About Tibet : Not As Peaceful As They Want You To Think
21 March 2008There is no excuse for the PRC’s violent response to the recent Tibetan protests, but the Western viewpoint of the peace-loving non-violent Tibetan monk is little more than a Shangri-la Myth carefully orchestrated by Tibetan exiles to insure Western support and favour.
The truth of the matter is that Tibet was historically a feudal society completely dominated by noblemen and monasteries who enlisted Western support in the 1950’s when Communism threatened their power and wealth.

Iraqi Holocaust, Iraqi Genocide (4 million dead) - BOYCOTT UK, US, Australia
20 March 2008Decent folk must BOYCOTT racist US, UK and White Australia over Iraqi Holocaust and Iraqi Genocide (4 million excess deaths, 1990-2008; 1.7-2.2 million excess deaths post-invasion, 2003-2008).

Tibet: An inalienable part of China
by Rolf Berthold
After many years abroad, the Tibetan Dainmba returned home to China. He had spent time at a special training camp for Tibetans in Colorado, USA.
In May 1991 he commented about his stay in Colorado — allegedly a political instructor at this camp declared that it was intended to prevent the China from becoming rich and powerful, and for that purpose China was to be divided whilst it was still poor. The (…) -
Friendly Feudalism: The Tibet Myth
20 March 2008by Michael Parenti
I. For Lords and Lamas
Along with the blood drenched landscape of religious conflict there is the experience of inner peace and solace that every religion promises, none more so than Buddhism. Standing in marked contrast to the intolerant savagery of other religions, Buddhism is neither fanatical nor dogmatic—so say its adherents. For many of them Buddhism is less a theology and more a meditative and investigative discipline intended to promote an inner harmony and (…) -

Polk Guest Op-Ed
William R. Polk writes:
Cassandra and Yogi Berra are an unlikely pair, but I hear both of their voices today. Cassandra, like some of us, was cursed to be always disbelieved as she correctly predicted the future while baseballer Yogi Berra will be remembered for his penetrating insight into the flow of history, “This is like deja vu all over again."
It is through the unlikely medium of U.S. News and World (…)
