I am trying to help An-Najah National University find teaching staff and volunteers to fill the chronic short-fall in staff. We are having difficulties finding teaching staff who are willing to live and work in the besieged city of Nablus. The closure regime and checkpoints surrounding Nablus deter many people from coming to work here, and, as you can see from the long list of short-fall subjects below, the University is finding it difficult to attract Faculty members. Yet, many rewarding, (…)

Reports consuming the US propaganda media organs and political elite today are centering upon the charges leveled against the Governor of New York, Eliot Spitzer[pictured top left], and who is said to have paid for the services of a high priced prostitute.
FSB reports circulating in the Kremlin today, however, point to a much more sinister (…) -
The Logical Reconstruction of Reality, Part 5 : Back to Ground Zero
11 March 2008I am almost ashamed to see that it has been a year and a half since I wrote part 4 ("The Onion Peeled"), which ends on the optimistic note that Bush and Cheney might be impeached if the Democrats won the 2006 elections.
That optimism was born of desperation, because I felt the danger of another, and worse, 9/11 false flag event was imminent at that time. The fact that it did not occur, and the fact that the Democrats won that election, subsequently gaining control of the Senate as (…) -

But, just how has food actually changed? Do we need to worry about genetically modified foods? What about artificial foods? Learn all this more (…) -
IRAQ : Childhood Is Dying - Dahr Jamail and Ahmed Ali*
10 March 2008iInter-Press Service (IPS)
BAQUBA, Mar 10 (IPS) - Iraq’s children have been more gravely affected by the U.S. occupation than any other segment of the population.
The United Nations estimated that half a million Iraqi children died during more than 12 years of economic sanctions that preceded the U.S. invasion of March 2003, primarily as a result of malnutrition and disease.
But childhood malnutrition in Iraq has increased 9 percent since then, according to an Oxfam International (…) -

Obama : The difference between a Dictator and a Leader
10 March 2008One definition of a dictator is “a person exercising absolute power”, while a leader is defined as “one who is in charge or in command of others.” This does not mean that the two words are unrelated. A leader can be a dictator and a dictator can be leader. The difference is in the implied method of rule.
To describe someone as a dictator is to imply that they are ruthless and biased; to describe someone as a leader implies that they understand the needs of those that they rule. A dictator (…) -
Why do You Yell Fire in a Crowded Theatre? — Open Letter to Rep. Sally Kern
10 March 2008James Nimmo March 09, 2008 sallykern mfq okhouse.gov
Mrs. Kern:
I’ve just listened to the 20-minute interview you had with Oklahoma City’s TV-9 in regard to the public speech you made sometime after the first of the year deriding and demeaning Oklahoma’s gay/lesbian taxpaying citizens.
You were NOT secretly recorded as you claim; you saw the recording device. Why must you always play the victim when your homophobic schemes are made public?

Mr. Werrell and friends,
It is not the measure of how Sen. Barack Obama responds to the negative attacks of the Clinton Machine but, rather how we as voters respond to them when casting our vote at the polls.
Keeping that in mind, so far it would appear that some are willing to reward negative behavior.
No wonder people like George W. Bush have never been held accountable for anything in their entire life.
Then again, 1 (…)
