Why I Believe Bush Must Go
Nixon Was Bad. These Guys Are Worse.
By George McGovern Sunday, January 6, 2008; Page B01
As we enter the eighth year of the Bush-Cheney administration, I have belatedly and painfully concluded that the only honorable course for me is to urge the impeachment of the president and the vice president.
After the 1972 presidential election, I stood clear of calls to impeach President Richard M. Nixon for his misconduct during the campaign. I thought that my (…)

PAKISTAN: Bhutto’s Assassination: Who Gains? by F. William Engdahl
7 January 2008Assassination of prominent political leaders, presumably protected by the best security, is no easy thing. It requires agencies of professional intelligence training to insure that the job is done and that no person is caught alive who can lead to those behind. Typically, from the assassination of Archduke Francis Ferdinand in Sarajevo in July 1914 to JFK, the person pulling the trigger is just an instrument of a far deeper conspiracy. So too in the assassination on December 27th, of (…)

“If you made public all the information that the FBI have on this case, you will see very high-level people going through criminal trials,” she said.
Strangely, or perhaps not, a number of people seem to have dual allegiance. No? -
Media Blackout Ordered As UK Begins Mass Burials
6 January 2008Media Blackout Ordered As UK Begins Mass Burials
January 6, 2008
By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Western Subscribers
Disturbing reports from Britain today are showing that their government has invoked their dreaded Official Secrets Act as a mysterious pandemic sweeps their Nation leaving an, estimated, 3,000 people dead and leaving ‘no choice’ for British Health Officials but to begin mass burials.
British media sources are reporting on this pandemic as being due to a virus, (…) -
U.S. law firms could help shape Afghanistan’s future — for price
6 January 2008Law firms that contribute money to the U.S. effort towards an effective and transparent justice system in Afghanistan will be given a say in the carrying out of those policies. Bigger contributors will have more involvement, including the opportunity to go on official trips to Afghanistan. Donations by law firms will be tax deductible, but they can’t earmark donations for specific uses. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says the plan is "essential to the country’s success" in combating (…)

Scientists on Svalbard eye underground CO2 storage
5 January 2008The university on Svalbard is preparing to test out a possible underground storage facility for carbon dioxide in Longyearbyen, in hopes of making the area "CO2-neutral."
Ole Magnus Rapp Aftenposten’s reporter First published: 04 Jan 2008, 16:26
This fall students and construction workers have drilled 855 meters down in Longyearbyen, and found a thick layer of slate, under which lies a layer of porous sand. "The drilling tests are being analyzed and all indications are that here are (…) -
Bring On The Tinfoil
5 January 2008there’s never been a time where it was more important for ordinary Americans to have an open conversation on the political situation in this country. If the vast majority of the country doesn’t get involved and quick, we may see the permanent end of the "middle class" in our lifetimes, and the irreversible loss of precious freedoms. Already, habeus corpus, the right to contest one’s detention in a court of law that has existed since the signing of the Magna Carta has been gutted in this (…)

Vengeance, Blackwater Style: US and Western Mainstream Media try to conceal War Crimes in Fallujah
4 January 2008Every time I read a story published in Western mainstream media about what transpired in Fallujah in 2004 during two US assaults on the city I feel sick.
The evidence proving that the United States committed war crimes, slaughtering innocent men, women and children is irrefutable. The US military’s use of chemical weapons is irrefutable. The destruction of a city amounting to collective punishment is irrefutable. All of this occurred because four Blackwater mercenaries were killed by (…) -
Hillary’s Campaign in a Tailspin
4 January 2008Mark Penn - Hillary Clinton’s chief strategist - was going to be the next political guru, part Rove and part Carville until he ran straight into Reality. Last night Iowans voted 71% for opponents and 29% for the supposed unbeatable Hillary. What gives?
Penn has never understood Hillary’s campaign very well for the following reasons:
1. Deciding to imitate Karl Rove’s tactics after Hillary’s meltdown in Philly,
2. Focus Group polling that was woefully out of touch with prevailing (…) -
Alert Over The March of The ‘Grey Goo’ in Nanotechnology Frankenfoods
4 January 2008A breed of Frankenfood is being introduced into human diet and cosmetics with potentially disastrous consequences, experts said last night.Academics, consumer groups and Government officials are warning that the arrival of nanotechnology threatens dangerous changes to the body and the environment.
The particles it uses are so small - 80,000 times thinner than a human hair - that they can pass through membranes protecting the brain or babies in the womb.
Nano health supplements, such as (…)
