2 commentairesL’Association pour la Protection contre les Rayonnements Ionisants (APRI) considère qu’ une pollution radioactive est avérée compte tenu que les zones contaminées par les isotopes radioactifs sont considérables et que la dissémination de particules radioactives dans l’air est une évidence.

3 commentairesUne alarme qui aurait dû alerter les employés de la plateforme Deepwater Horizon d’une accumulation de gaz dans le puits avait été désactivée des mois avant la catastrophe, a assuré vendredi un ancien employé. Cette accumulation de gaz est à l’origine de l’explosion qui a provoqué la marée noire.

Le Gouvernement américain a ordonné au géant pétrolier BP de proposer un plan pour ré-ouvrir la vanne chapeautée récemment dans le golfe du Mexique ; ceci après qu’une fuite menaçant de s’infiltrer dans la roche-mère, (bedrock), ait été découverte.

3 commentairesLes ingénieurs de BP ont détecté une fuite de pétrole souterraine aux abords du puits endommagé dans le golfe du Mexique qui pourrait être due au nouveau dôme de confinement mis en place la semaine dernière, ont fait savoir dimanche 18 juillet les autorités américaines.
Quelques heures plus tôt, la compagnie britannique avait souhaité que le dispositif, qui a permis jeudi 15 juillet d’obturer le puits d’où se sont déversés des millions de litres de pétrole depuis le 20 avril, puisse rester (…) -

C’est seulement le 12 juillet que les garde-côtes, qui travaillent en lien étroit avec BP, ont assoupli les règles d’accès aux zones touchées par la marée noire pour les journalistes (comme l’explique une dépêche de l’agence AP). Mais ils peuvent toujours être tenus à l’écart pour des raisons de sécurité, une excuse évoquée parfois de manière fallacieuse.
