I just watched a video and cried because I’m a sucker for that stuff. Drums beating, banners waving, people happy doing the one thing they know will light a fire under the wimpy butts of congressmen and presidents and make them fear the fear they’ve made.
No fool like an old fool, sentimental claptrap, laughable, a geezer watching lovers on a park bench remembering what passion was back in the ancient sixties when they thought they could just kill us by chopping off our heads and serving (...)

How to Quash a March: Chris Hedges is wrong
20 March 2010 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentAs I have been saying (see here), the demonstration in Washington today seems to have been systematically undermined by "progressive" websites (by non-promotion) and has lost all focus. Today I read on OpEdNews that "hundreds of civic organizations and activists are heading to the nation’s capital to demand (from) the White House and Congress the passage of an immigration reform that would allow millions to regularize their legal status."
Huh?

16 March 2010 par (Open-Publishing)
According to civil rights activist Eddie Slaughter, April 14th will mark 11 years of acknowledged bias and legal settlements in the long-standing black farmer class action lawsuit. Admitting errors in the past lawsuit, the federal government has agreed to pay some of those who were left out of the Pigford Case $50,000 to right some of the wrongs of de facto USDA institutional racism.
Many black farmers say the amount is way too low, while critics claim the lawsuit is just another (...) -
