I Hate To Say This, But… George W. Bush is a mindless, heartless, gutless, mental case. I realize this is a terrible thing for any citizen of the United States to say about their President. Of course, if Bush weren’t the president what anybody says about him wouldn’t be worth much. But Bush IS the president and that makes any statement concerning him, noteworthy. Including mine.
If this were only Jim Moore’s opinion it wouldn’t amount to a bucket of spit. I know that. But when polls show (…)

BAGHDAD, IRAQ — (OfficialWire) — 12/30/06 — The rightful President of Iraq, Saddam Hussein, was put to death in the early hours on Saturday while lawyers for the ousted dictator tried in vain to use U.S. courts to prevent his transfer from American authority—to Iraqi control—thus hoping to prevent his murder.
Those efforts, while admirable, were doomed from the start. There is little justice left for Americans in the United States, much (…) -

WILL STINKY CUT THE BIG ONE? Frat Times at the White House By Sheila Samples
Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player That struts and frets his hour upon the stage And then is heard no more: it is a tale Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing. McBeth, Act V, Scene V
It’s almost painful to watch the disintegration of George W. Bush and what’s left of his murderous administration. Those who haven’t fled are racing blindly through the halls of power, lurching into (…) -
Ford Prolonged Our Nightmare, Impeaching Bush Will Heal Our Nation
29 December 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
One of the most common themes we are now asked to accept, as part of the hagiography surrounding the death of Gerald Ford, is that Ford ended our "long national nightmare" by pardoning Richard Nixon over his crimes in "Watergate" and that such an act remains a positive part of his legacy. In the debate over whether the pardon should have been granted, the focus has typically been on the dynamic at the time and what would be gained by putting the disgraced president and the nation through a (…)

A Look Back and Ahead In An Age of Neocon Rule - by Stephen Lendman
Borrowing the opening line from Dickens’ Tale of Two Cities - "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...." He referred to the French Revolution promising "Liberte, egalite and fraternite" that began in 1789, inspired by ours from 1775 - 1783. It ended a 1000 years of monarchal rule in France benefitting those of privilege and established the nation as a republic the way ours did for us here a few years (…) -

Shouting Truth to Depraved Power (and Its Unwitting Accomplices): Stephen Lendman Sounds Off

1 commentAn Interview with Jason Miller
I recently had the privilege of conducting a “cyber interview” with one of the preeminent domestic critics of the American Empire. Despite his relatively recent start, Stephen Lendman has rapidly become one of the most ubiquitous and well-respected chroniclers of truth in the alternative media community. Asserting unflinching support for social democracy, Hugo Chavez, and the countless victims of US foreign and domestic policy, Lendman has penned a growing (…) -
The BUSHISTA are NOT buffoons!!
25 December 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentAs Iraqi society descends further and further into mayhem, comedians, satirists and commentators of all kinds have made great hay from the supposed incompetence and stupidity of our leaders. This would be the Mass Media Spin.
But as the Canadian Spectator suggested recently, if it should happen that the United States is not run by buffoons, “one must conclude that chaos, impoverishment and civil war in the Muslim world…far from being the unintended consequences, are precisely the objectives (…) -
Pre-empting Arab Mediation in Palestinian Divide
25 December 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
By Nicola Nasser*
The U.S administration and Israel are accelerating their coordinated meddling in the internal Palestinian divide between the Fatah-led presidency and the Hamas-led government to pre-empt a series of Arab mediation efforts, the latest of which is a UAE-Syrian try according to a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
The PLO official, who preferred to remain anonymous, said that President Mahmoud Abbas authorized the United Arab (…)
