Fighting Them There, As We Create Them Everywhere Else By Ron Fullwood July 26, 2006 "We’re fighting them there so, we don’t have to fight them here." That’s still the mantra of the right wing regarding Iraq.
But, if it is our presence in Iraq that is a magnet for combatants, then it’s immoral to expect Iraqis to continue to bear the brunt of those violent expressions of resentment that are directed at the U.S.. Especially since the Bush regime seems intent on provoking even more (…)

26 July 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentJuly 26, 2006 — Our intelligence sources report that the Israeli Defense Force attack on Lebanon is being carried out as a joint Israeli-U.S. military operation. Moreover, there are joint Israeli and U.S. war rooms coordinating the U.S.-supported Israeli attacks on Lebanon. The ultimate aim of Washington and Jerusalem is not only to eliminate Hezbollah as a political force in Lebanon but also to remake Lebanon as an American and Israeli client state. Israeli forces are pounding parts of (…)

The war on Lebanon may well escalate to the point where the US will use nuclear weapons against Iran, in what would be the first use of nuclear weapons in war since Nagasaki. And the world may well blame the Jewish State [1], [2]. Israel’s bombing campaign which is causing immense suffering, is in blatant violation of the Geneva (…) -

The "Drunken Mechanic" parallel
24 July 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
2 commentsA guy has his car breaks fixed by a drunken mechanic. He goes for a drive and crashes into a tree.
He returns to the mechanic and accuses him of doing a terrible job. The mechanic says "No problem!..I can fix it". He does, and the owner goes for another drive, has another wreck......
This is just like the Bush foreign policy (which the White House just announced "is working"). Bush initially claims he can do a bangup job. The world falls into chaos, then conservatives turn to Bush again, (…) -
Send in the UN
24 July 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
So, Republicans have nothing to hide, do they? In that case, and I’m not joking, I think we should have the UN monitor the November 06 US elections. It’s a neutral party, and the chances of a fair fight would vastly improve. Foreign nations know the score. Now it’s up to them to let Americans in on the truth!

"All of us saw on television, there’s . . . some deep, persistent poverty in this region," he said (…)
