Uber Right Prez candidate, Duncan Hunter: "Marines fight for morals"
by Open-Publishing - Wednesday 14 March 20072 comments
After our "holier than thou" General Pace made his comment about the immorality of homosexuality, presidential hopeful extreme Right wing Congressman Duncan Hunter (part of the military industrial complex) and a war hawk extraordinaire...made a statement which is false right down to the ground: "Morality is what our Marines are all about; they fight to protect our right to have morals"
How’s that again? What’s the last time you saw a TV commercial for any military service saying: "Join now! Fight for your country’ morals!"?
Marines and all other members of the service fight for any number of reasons. The fight because of tradition, or a heartfelt obligation to serve, out of respect for their country (right or wrong), or because they love the "action" and the "pride"...Semper Fi!
The LAST thing our servicemen fight for is "morality". Just like many other military forces the world over, the U.S. military has it’s share of bad apples; they have raped and murdered, tortured and slacked off. They’ve ’fragged’ superior officers and "accidentally" killed fellow soldiers and even those of friendly allies. That’s just fact, not invention.
But I’ve NEVER heard any soldier anywhere tell me "You know, I joined to fight for morality"
Pace and Hunter are among the worst representatives of the military the U.S. has to offer. No doubt they’ll be the brunt of jokes worldwide for decades.

Guess General Pace & Duncan Hunter put Haditha out of his mind already-probably couldn’t bother his beautiful mind with such trivial concerns.

Almost as bad as "If you don’t make it in school, you might end up in Iraq" or
" all those servicemen lives wasted in Iraq"
typical thoughtless liberal statements.....
