The illegal and unlawful arrest and kidnapping of all people, no matter Muslim or Christian, Hindu or Jew, is an act of inhumanity, barbaric demonstration of obscurantism and using illogical means for achieving objectives which maybe justified as right or wrong.

While we condemn all kind of kidnappings in Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries of the world, hereby we deeply and whole heartedly are concerned about the fate of the Italian journalist, Giuliana Sgrena . We hope the human conscience of the desperate Iraqis -who resort to such acts in order to show their anger against the unlawful and illegitimate occupation of their country by the occupants- awakes and show its human side so they can gain the support of all people around the world for the cause they put their lives to achieve.

Kidnapping and above all killing of innocent people, whether Iraqis or civilians of other countries who work and live in Iraq, not only is an act of brutality, but it will more strongly justify the presence of occupant forces in the eyes of the world people and it will also give "justified excuse" for the occupants to stay as long as they wish in Iraq.

Giuliana Sgrena , like almost all other kidnapped people in Iraq, is an independent journalist and her presence in Iraq was nothing to do with any work which can jeopardize the call for freedom in Iraq or assist by any way imaginable the occupant forces. She just wanted to report the realities in the ground.

She is not responsible for the presence of US or Italian forces in Iraq and her kidnapping or even killing will not bring any positive change regarding the presence of Italian forces in Iraq.

Logic and determination of the world wide people demand that we should stand a Chinese Wall between the wishes of governments and their subjects. As much as the Americans are not responsible for the killing and torturing of innocent Iraqis either by bombing or vast destruction, Italians are not responsible for the acts of their soldiers in Iraq. The will of the Italians has been well demonstrated in massive protest against war and destruction in Iraq before and after the occupation of Iraq. So thus, the people should not be targeted and should not be taken as the responsible of destruction and occupation of Iraq.

Afghans are with all suffered people and never tolerate brutality and never justify acts of barbarism as they are themselves the targets of such acts in their own country. Therefore the hearts of the Afghans go with all Italian people and particularly with the family and friends of Giuliana Sgrena and strongly wish the immediate unharmed release of Jullina and her safe return to her country and family.

With strong and determined solidarity with Giuliana Sgrena, her family and all Italian people in their grief and sorrow.
