Invitation for participation in documentary film about Europe
Hello
First I would like to thank you for reading this letter and
considering it for further action. I am writing to introduce to you
the project, which I am currently working on, and for which I am
searching participants all over Europe. The project is a documentary
film about life and vision of Europe from non-Euro-centric
perspective. Its main aim is to spread multicultural and anti-racist
attitude of diversity and possibility of different forms of social
existence, through disclosure of hidden discourses, problematic
topics, and socially oppressed experiences.
The documentary will mostly include the views, statements and stories
of the people, who live in Europe at least one and not more than ten
years, but originate and have spent most of their life on the other
continents. To meet this end, I am searching participants who would be
prepared to explain the views on Europe and life in EU not from
European way of thinking, but from other cultural perspective and who
wouldn’t have a problem to talk openly about nationalism, xenophobia,
racism, the politics of migration, the politics of employment, etc.
Due to this fact, I am planning a few-month trip to different EU
countries (depends on where I will find people interested in the
project), starting in the middle of May to shoot most of the film
footage. If you find yourself appropriate and interested, after
reading the description of the project (which you find in the
attachment of the letter), please contact me by e-mail or telephone
(written at the beginning of the letter). If not, I thank you for
reading the letter and I would be very pleased if you sent it to
anybody, who you think is an appropriate person to take part or would
at least know such people.
I look forward to hearing from you
