An As-Sahab Video Production Of The 2004 Attack In al-Khobar Saudi Arabia, Featuring The Alleged Real Twentieth September 11, 2001 Hijacker

An as-Sahab video production of the 2004 attack in the eastern Saudi Arabian city of al-Khobar, targeting the establishments of the Haliburton Corporation and the Abdul Aziz Oasis compound, by four members of “al-Quds Brigade,” was issued yesterday, June 20, 2006. The fifty-four minute film features the attackers’ training, recordings of the operations and the wills of the “martyrs” involved, including Turki bin Fah al-Moteiri AKA Fawaz al-Nashmi, who according to a message introducing the video, is purported to be the man Usama bin Laden chose as the twentieth hijacker for the September 11, 2001 attacks in New York and Washington. The message states that it was Turki, not Zacarias Moussaoui, who was to be involved in the attack, and further, was absent due to some “circumstances” at that Muhammad Atta explained to the “general command".

Also involved in the Khobar operation were Abdullah Abu Niyan al-Sobei, Nemr bin Sihaj al-Baqmi, and Adel al-Moteiri, the latter two of which were subsequently captured and the other, al-Baqmi, killed during the attack.

Further, the message addresses the enemy, stating: “Let the Crusaders and their followers know that the blood of our sheikh Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, may Allah accept him as a martyr, will not go astray. There is more than one surprise the Mujahideen are preparing for them which will shake them with Allah’s Power. We ask Allah for help and make it easy for us”.
