22 August 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
By Chris Marsden and Julie Hyland
New leaks from official sources in Britain have added to the evidence already brought to light, proving that the official story of how Brazilian Jean Charles de Menezes was gunned down was a pack of lies. In response, the liberal daily newspaper the Guardian has rushed to the defence of Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair, justifying the use of death squads and excusing a cover-up aimed at concealing how the police murdered an innocent man.

Matozinho and Maria de Menezes, parents of 27-year-old Jean Charles de Menezes, have reportedly rejected the offer as an insult, Sky news reported on Saturday.
"We will not be bought off. We will not be silenced. This is not about money, this is about justice," they told the Daily Mail newspaper. (…) -
Nick Berg Enjoyed Favored Treatment from the Norman City Court

Michael P. Wright — Norman, Oklahoma, USA mpwright9@aol.com
In the spring of 2000, Nick Berg was arrested twice by University of Oklahoma police and accused of trespass because he was sleeping on OU couches. He was not an OU student at the time. Why was this young man from a comfortable suburb in Pennsylvania appearing to be a homeless vagrant in Norman, Oklahoma?
If my suspicions are correct that he was infiltrating Al Qaeda under CIA supervision, then the appearance of being a vagrant (…) -

FBI Tells Enormous Lie About Nick Berg

In a letter sent to me in response to a Freedom of Information Act request, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) tells an enormous lie. They don’t admit to having ever investigated Nick Berg. Strictly speaking, they say that their "central record" files located no records at "headquarters" to indicate that Berg has ever been of "investigatory interest to the FBI." Then they invite me to check with their various field (…) -

SCOTLAND YARD made “a series of catastrophic errors” that led to armed officers hunting the July 21 bombers shooting dead an innocent Brazilian, it was claimed last night.
Leaked witness statements from officers who took part in the botched operation reveal that Jean Charles de Menezes was restrained by one of Scotland Yard’s surveillance team before being shot eight times as he sat on a Tube train.
Documents and photographs from the Independent (…) -
De Menezes family murder charge call
17 August 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
Relatives of the Brazilian man shot dead by anti-terror police on a London Tube train want them to be charged with murder.
Officers mistakenly thought Jean Charles de Menezes was a suicide bomber, but recently leaked documents show he did not try to run away from police or vault the ticket barrier before they gunned him down at Stockwell Tube station as initial reports suggested.
According to documents obtained by ITV News, the Brazilian entered the station at a normal walking pace and (…) -

Family representatives and campaigners for the Brazilian man shot dead on a London tube train are demanding to know how Scotland Yard allowed misleading information to circulate about his killing.
In the wake of a leak last night from the independent report, which revealed eyewitnesses seeing Jean Charles de Menezes being held by police in his seat before being shot in the head, attention has now turned to the initial accounts of his death. These (…)
