Charles Krauthammer on Spying On Americans: Where’s The Abuse?

Democracy Secret Services USA

Krauthammer, the perennial mouth piece on Fox news, does not perceive any abuse by Bush and his secret data mining operation. In fact the abuse is staring America in the face, Bush Lies. Bush told the American people that the courts were a buffer for the rights of American citizens and were being honored. It appears that honest American Patriots, that were privy to a top secret spying program knew this was a lie and became Whistleblowers to the NY Times. The whistleblowers also knew that congress had addressed the idea of circumventing the courts and refused to give Bush the authority. They did it after the fact and before the election not because it was before an election but because it happened and they acted with felicity. What’s a person with integrity supposed to do?

The NY Times kept the story until after the election and now, a year later, they have printed it. The Justice department is now poised to ferret out the whistleblowers and display them as enemies of national security. The NY Times is about to get attacked by the administration through the Justice Department. The trusted NY Times, that was used as a patsy for WMD through Judy Miller. The NY Times is in a difficult position and how they handle this will reveal if they are innocent and naive or in secret goosestep with the administration that kicks them like a bad dog and then uses them as a propaganda tool. A kind of Neo Con fascist shell game.

The chilling result will be to send a message to anyone with knowledge that Bush lies to keep quiet or else. The fact is the NY Times will be exposing true American Patriots who were trying to inform Congress and the American people that the President was lying. If they are prosecuted it will be the beginning of a new chapter in American politics, or better yet a new book, The Book Of Martyrs.
