Cheney accidentally shoots fellow hunterAssociated PressWASHINGTON - Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot and injured a man during a weekend quail hunting trip in Texas, his spokeswoman said Sunday.
Harry Whittington, 78, was "alert and doing fine" after Cheney sprayed Whittington with shotgun pellets on Saturday at the Armstrong Ranch in south Texas, said property owner Katharine Armstrong.
Armstrong said Cheney turned to shoot a bird and accidentally hit Whittington. She said Whittington was taken to Corpus Christi Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
Cheney’s spokeswoman, Lea Anne McBride, said the vice president was with Whittington, a lawyer from Austin, Texas, and his wife at the hospital on Sunday afternoon.

If it was me or you, the police would be involved and their would be an investigation to determine if my actions had been reckless. Likewise, if it had happened to me and I had failed to report the matter to the police, it is likely that I would be in jail. If it had been reported to the police, we would have heard about it sooner.

Cheney shot the wrong guy! He needs to play with this shotgun in Washington. He might hit the right guy.

He was just testing whether the bore on the shotgun was sufficient, or whether he should be using a rifle when he gets back to Washington. Of course, Al Qaeda will be blamed for the "assassination!"

This happened in Texas. there will be no investigation. Why was the story held up by 24 hours? What else aren’t we hearing about?
