Look what I found posted to my door this morning! It was a multi-page document printed on bright red paper. I took a look out my window, and sure enough, there’s an army humvee parked down the streets with a couple of soldiers milling about. What the fuck is going on? !!! ATTENTION !!!

Lockheed Martin is one of the shortlisted contractors to provide data capture and storage services for the United Kingdom 2011 Census.
Lockheed Martin has many contracts with the United States Department of Defense. The company is involved with contracts in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
The UK Green Party has assembled a petition. They are concerned that census submissions will not be safe from being incorporated into the US integrated systems. “Most worrying is their claim (…) -
The 5:32 AM Train to Washington, D.C.
12 August 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
“The actual outlook [for the survival of Civilization] is very dark!” — George Orwell
Baltimore, MD — The commuter train belonging to the MARC Line, pulled out of Penn Station, on Aug. 7, 2007, at exactly 5:32 AM. I was lucky to get a seat. It was overbooked and headed for Washington, D.C. about an hour away. The first thing I noticed on the train was how quiet it was. No one was talking. There was no chattering—just—silence. The passengers were mostly sleeping. Some had on their head (…) -

How Democracy Works: Democratic Deceit and Denial on War, Impeachment, Health Care and Prisons
by Bruce Dixon

Most Americans favor impeachment, and when alternatives are described to them, most favor a single-payer health care system on the French or Canadian model. When Republicans captured the House and Senate in the third year of Bill Clinton’s administration the (…) -

Rep. Jerrold Nadler: President and Attorney General are engaged in a criminal conspiracy
11 June 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
by David Swanson
Congressman Jerrold Nadler, Chairman of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties, said today that there is no question that the warrantless wiretaping engaged in by the Bush Administration is a felony offense and that the President and Attorney General engaged in a criminal conspiracy worse than Watergate. Nadler was referring not to the mysterious program that the Acting Attorney General refused to support, but rather to the (…) -

The War on Free Expression - by Stephen Lendman
In a post-9/11 climate, the right of free expression is under attack and endangered in the age of George Bush when dissent may be called a threat to national security, terrorism, or treason. But losing that most precious of all rights means losing our freedom that 18th century French philosopher Voltaire spoke in defense of saying "I may disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." Mind Management is not Democracy

1 commentWhen British marines were captured by the Iranians, we were told they were in Iraqi waters, as though that was completely natural. Several thousand miles from their own country, sailing an area subject to border dispute, their captain having told British TV that they might be picking up intelligence about Iran; nothing unusual there. Especially for an arrogant former imperial power reduced to snuggling up to the USA and acting as its junior partner in arousing hatred for the western world. (…)
