Governments Secret Services USA

WASHINGTON - A Democratic congressman, a prominent legal scholar and a self-described target of government surveillance urged Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee yesterday to consider impeaching President Bush for his domestic surveillance program.

The recommendation by Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., law scholar Jonathan Turley and Florida-based political activist Richard Hersh emerged at an unofficial House Judiciary Committee hearing staged entirely by Democrats on the day that Bush’s presidency began its sixth year.

Other lawmakers and witnesses at the hearing demanded an end to the secret, four-year domestic spying program by the National Security Agency, the appointment of a special prosecutor and a joint House-Senate inquiry into what they described as "a constitutional crisis."

The proceedings on Capitol Hill were conducted with all the pomp and circumstance of an official congressional hearing — and with none of the legal authority — after the committee chairman, Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., rejected Democrats’ requests for an inquiry into the spying program.

  • just a thought!!!!!!!!!!1

Who knows??? maybe George Bush should be impeached for all sorts of reasons!!!

Let it happen,,, impeach G. Bush!!!! I have only one question - Who and which party will take office??

How much different are they going to be from the present administrations policies?

To me as far as I can tell - from the information that I read that - regardless - of who is in control in the U.S.of A. the same policies and destruction of the Constitution will continue. There is not one person out of the entire population in the entire U.S. of A. that has the balls to stand up and say that this enough. It is time to forget all wars and build our own country without interferring with anyone else. As far as I am concerned the whole U.S. of A. is just one big screwed up country.

But let me say loud and clear, I love the U.S. of A. and I think it is the damn best place on earth.

    from me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Democrats should walk out of Resident Bush’s State of the Union Address next week. I am one American, speaking for many, that see how dangerous Mr. Bush is.
