Dr.Lawrence J. Peter and Condi Rice

Dr.Lawrence J. Peter is known for his famous "principle", the focus of his famous book "The Peter Principle" His principle states that "Every employee in a hierarchy rises to the highest level of competency. After that, with one more promotion he stops at the level of his INcompetency"

Nowhere can I find a better example than with our current (crazed) Secretary of State, Ms.Condoleezza Rice, who, after having achieved fame as an accomplished ballerina, classical pianist, Russian expert and oil executive, has now risen to the precise and final hierarchal destination described by Prof. Peter.

As Secretary of State, Ms. Rice has become a ludicrous figure. A sort of Karen Hughes with muscle; i.e. her main job is propagandist for Bush policy. To this end she has been travelling the world to win hearts and minds and to convince the world that the good old US of A is still "The guy in the white hat". She couldn’t be doing a worse job if she tried!

Her reception, even WORSE than Mrs. Hughes received in various venues across the globe, has been pathetic, dismal, and outright hostile! The message that "we" don’t torture and only create "goodness and niceness" throughout the world has been taken by the citizenry of the world as pure horse pucky! (pardon my French).

She has indeed RISEN to her highest level of INcompetency, and there she will remain, no doubt with continued failed efforts, until at last this sorry and miserable administration comes crashing down....hopefully VERY soon!
