    I spent a day meeting with Congress Members and their staffers, urging them to end the occupation of Iraq, and having them tell me they would never "defund our troops." In the evening I watched Paul Haggis’s new film "In the Valley of Elah." I walked out stunned, shaken, far more angry than I’d been, and convinced that we shouldn’t be asking Congress Members to end the occupation, we should be asking them to watch this movie.     Despite an unconstitutional federal ban being placed on the posting of promotional material for today’s September 15th Anti-War Rally, reports show that thousands have turned out to participate in the demonstration at the US Capitol.

    Russian Military Intelligence Analysts are reporting today that one of the United States most secretive spy satellites, the KH-13, targeting Iran was ‘destroyed in its orbit’ with its main power generator powered by the radioactive isotope Pu-238 surviving re-entry and crashing in a remote region of the South American Nation of Peru, and where hundreds are reported to be ill from radiation poisoning.

    The shooting on Sunday by Blackwater contractors and killing of more than 11 Iraqi civilians drew a fierce reaction by the Iraqi people. The incident occurred when a motorcade guarded by Blackwater was traveling through Nisoor Square on the way back to the Green Zone when the car bomb exploded, followed by volleys of small-arms fire that disabled one of the vehicles. Blackwater guards then shot at nearby civilians in act of revenge and killed more than 11 civilians. (…)

    Yesterday, September 17, at a John Kerry speech, Andrew Meyer, a University of Florida student was tasered and arrested by police on-campus. This incident took place after “his microphone was cut off” while he was asking John Kerry questions during the question period.
