Get Out of the Valley of Elah
26 September 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
By David Swanson
I spent a day meeting with Congress Members and their staffers, urging them to end the occupation of Iraq, and having them tell me they would never "defund our troops." In the evening I watched Paul Haggis’s new film "In the Valley of Elah." I walked out stunned, shaken, far more angry than I’d been, and convinced that we shouldn’t be asking Congress Members to end the occupation, we should be asking them to watch this movie. If any Congress Member were to watch this (…) -
Macky’s back in Town

Resulting, no doubt, directly from a vituperative and abusive style deliberately intended to intimidate and defame any opposition to the deranged ramblings of the person or persons calling themselves ’Imam Grouik-Grouik’ (IGG) the mainstream media in France and Belgium has at last taken notice and identified IGG’s nauseating sites (most of which continue to be hosted by Blogger despite a flood of complaints made to them that IGG preaches a litany of religious and race hatred (…) -

5 commentsBy Ahmad Ali
The shooting on Sunday by Blackwater contractors and killing of more than 11 Iraqi civilians drew a fierce reaction by the Iraqi people. The incident occurred when a motorcade guarded by Blackwater was traveling through Nisoor Square on the way back to the Green Zone when the car bomb exploded, followed by volleys of small-arms fire that disabled one of the vehicles. Blackwater guards then shot at nearby civilians in act of revenge and killed more than 11 civilians. (…) -

Another Dishonorable Chicken-hawk by Cindy Sheehan
I know just a little bit about Mr. William Kristol:
He is the son of one of the founders of the "neo-conservative" movement, Irving Kristol.
He is a commentator on Fox News.
He was Chief of Staff for one of the political "geniuses" of our time: VP Dan Quayle.
He is editor of another Rupert Murdoch (…) -

We are in a countdown to a showdown and Bush is scrambling to beat back the anti-war opposition that is dominating the country.
He and the neocons are betting that their propaganda blitz preceding the September 15 showdown will force the Democrats to capitulate once again.
