“Every voice that comes behind Cindy Sheehan sparks a new voice, and someone else stands up. Someone else is not afraid anymore.” Mona is speaking from the back seat of a Camp Casey shuttle as the Texas prairie speeds past. Today Mona is not afraid what the President will think. But she is worried to death about her son, who is headed for Iraq next month. Mona’s anti-war movement is on a tight schedule indeed. Even the national protests scheduled for Sept. 24-26 in D.C. may (…)

Woodstock 2005 begins....
At a time in our country’s history when it was neither safe nor fashionable, Joan put herself on the line countless times, and her life’s work was mirrored in her music. She sang about freedom and Civil Rights everywhere, from the backs of flatbed trucks to the steps of the Lincoln Memorial at Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s (…) -

This will provide plenty of space for everyone that wants to come. No more worries about parking on the road and camping in a ditch- this huge field could make the difference.

By Cindy Sheehan
I will never, ever forget the night of April 4, 2004, when I found out that my son Casey had been killed in Iraq.
I will also never forget the day when we buried my sweet boy, my oldest son. If I live to be a very old lady and forget everything else, I will never forget when the general handed me the folded flag that had lain on Casey’s coffin, as his brother and sisters, standing behind (…) -

We still have so many great things happening at Camp Casey. In spite of all the smears and lies, people are still coming.
The most amazing thing today was learning that Camp Caseys are opening and spreading all over the country. They have been set up in Boston, Portland, Seattle, and elsewhere. If you can’t make it to Camp Casey, set up your own version. Camp Caseys are amazing places full of love and hope. I am so gratified that the movement is spreading.

Reality Hits Camp Casey
The last 10 minutes have been very difficult here. I am at the Peace House editing video. First came a phone call that someone drove their vehicle over the Arlington West Crosses at the camp. I will head out to the camp now to get more details.
Within minutes one of the volunteers logged on to a website and learned that her friend was killed in Iraq. She burst into tears, Cindy was sitting across the room and (…) -
A Sunday Drive to Crawford

The trek began early Sunday morning - a decision to drive 181 miles to support Cindy Sheehan, a courageous mother who lost her son in the Iraq War. She has taken a stand against the war, and against those who lied to justify the war, right outside the gates of George Bush’s ranch. She’s camped out in a ditch, literally, waiting for the President to speak with her. Waiting for him to take 10 minutes and answer her questions.
So there we were - two cars, two adults, 3 kids (…) -

Bring ’Em On! The Bush Administration’s Top 40 Lies About War and Terrorism (links-annotated version) by Steve Perry 1) The administration was not bent on war with Iraq from 9/11 onward. Throughout the year leading up to war, the White House publicly maintained that the U.S. took weapons inspections seriously, that diplomacy would get its chance, that Saddam had the opportunity to prevent a US invasion. The most pungent and concise evidence to the contrary (…)

Hope: Day 9 of The Peaceful Occupation of Crawford
15 August 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentThe ninth day ended in the most awesome way. We were out at Camp Casey and it was sprinkling a little bit and it really looked like the rain was going to start pouring down anytime. We looked over into the next cow pasture and there was a full rainbow. If that wasn’t a sign from the universe than I don’t know what is.
I was being interviewed by Alex Jones and he asked me what I thought the rainbow signified. I told Alex that I was positive that it means we are going to be victorious. (…) -

CAMP CASEY, TX (Part Three) Penny strides into the front lawn of the Crawford Peace House talking about that time up in Racine five weeks before the alleged re-election when she stood along the street with firemen and everybody, and flipped the President the bird. “Thank you,” is what Penny recalls the President saying to her. “God, what a weak man!”
Like Cindy Sheehan, Penny is motivated by the death of her son, but Penny’s son was not killed in an overseas war. He lost (…)
