Home > George W. Bush, The "ACTIVIST PRESIDENT"
I’m going to make this one short and sweet so I don’t confuse the pollyannas out there. Last time out, we took a look at the corporate recruiting arm of the US military(one of them), AKA Blockbuster Video. What’s behind door number 2? Step right up as I pull back the curtain to give you a "behind the scenes" look at conservative hypocricy, nothing like pouring salt on a wound to get you going.

You might not expect the Critical Bastard to have once belonged to what is now known as the republican party(now under direction of neo-conistic christian fascists - shhh, don’t tell anybody). It’s true though, I love MY god(of my understanding), I love MY guns, and...their not mine, but they are MY fellow citizens, so, I love MY gays too. Does that mean I’m a "liberal"? I think I’ve heard that word mentioned frequently, almost too much, butterfly collars are out too.
I’ve been listening to George Bush lately and noticed that I hear him talk about "activist judges" allot. I’ve never seen one personally, but I have seen some "activist presidents", that’s for sure. These presidents try to rewrite laws or create new ones, that aren’t needed, and they are motivated by a certain cause,(in this case, it’s our president’s "god"). When you take vigorous action in support/opposition of a controversial issue, your an activist. I’m not kidding you, you can look it up in the dictionary.
So let’s see, we have his very extreme religious views...considering we have the right to practice the faith of our choosing in this country...I would like for him to be a little more specific when he tries to use "god" as a divine being that only he or the followers of his faith can understand or know. Did I wake up in another country? I understand our president wants to merge his church, corporations, and government...that is plain for all to see, I just hope that doesn’t mean we have to start calling people herectics again, because that’s so, like, middle ages. Makes for a good movie though.
What really confirms that we have an activist president in the United States though, is the fact that he has to go on tour with the yes men, trying to "sell us" his social security plans. Sounds like pretty vigorous action in support of a controversial issue.(and that’s an activist)
Just so my former fellow republicans can yank their heads out of their asses, I’m going to dumb it down a shade for you, you know, give it to you in plain english.
Activism:
a doctrine or practice that emphasizes direct vigorous action especially in support of or opposition to one side of a controversial issue
President:(if you believe that-ohio anyone?)
George W. Bush
ACTIVIST + PRESIDENT = ACTIVIST PRESIDENT = George W. Bush
So the next time you hear him say, "activist judges", laugh at him like we all do for being the most hypocritcal person you have ever seen or having really bad political strategists, that make him look more ridiculous then he already does. Which is not very hard these days. Does the white house have a dictionary?
Instead of promoting Karl Rove, maybe he should think about firing him. He’s making the entire republican party, along with George, look pretty silly. I hope I’ve made that clear here.
