The neo cons’ grand design lies in ruins. America’s political leadership will abandon Iraq and the neo-cons. An Iraq exit plan is now in the final stages. The only question is how rapidly the Americans will leave.
There isn’t a Republican drawing breath, war hawk John McCain included, who wants to campaign in 2008 on a diplomatic and military horror show produced and directed by a Republican White House and a GOP-controlled Congress. Among Republicans, (…)

If you truly believe in the pledge of allegiance, hand the GOP a defeat at the polls

1 commentIf you truly believe in the pledge of allegiance, hand the GOP a defeat at the polls By Mary MacElveen November 6, 2006
Tomorrow’s elections will tell us whether or not our fellow Americans truly want a change or live as we have lived since Bush took office. If we are truly a freedom loving people our only moral choice at this point is to stop America from bleeding out.
I see America as if she were lying on a battlefield mortally wounded. Do we pass her by or act as a medic and (…) -

Agitprop Capital of the World (the USA) Exports Its Poison to Venezuela - by Stephen Lendman
Agitprop, electoral fraud and dirty tricks may not have been invented in the US, but they certainly were perfected in "the land of the free and home of the brave" that no longer is except in the mind’s eye of a diminishing number of diehards, true-believers and others still unaware of the real state of things in America. The clearest evidence was the theft of the last two presidential elections (…) -
A Final Desperate Message from George W. Bush to the American Public

Well, as we come down to the wire we must remember the lesson of 9/11 (just what IS that?).
Anyway, it is beginning to look like the slimey Democrats are going to prevail in the House races. I am sorry to hear this. This means that Commie b..ch Pelosi, who marches in parades with gays and hates our troops, will try to give me a bad time. Phooey!
Hey, gang!, I’m not that bad of a guy! I’ve got a nice wife and two daughters, like to clear brush at Crawford and have (…) -

I am going to ask this question based upon based upon this Times Online article: Nuclear steps put region on brink of most fearful era yet, exactly how has the Bush/GOP led government made the world safer?
This article cites “with the sudden rush by Arabs, Iranians and Turks to master nuclear technology and one day unlock the secrets to the atomic bomb.” They also have stated that it (…) -

By Peter Fredson
November 4, 2006
I have searched all the major newspapers in vain for the greatest Iraqi disaster this year. There seems to be a massive cover-up of hundreds of American dead, not to mention many Iraqis. This October Surprise may prove to be the undoing of Secretary Rumsfeld, if not George Bush. I found the story on several blogs by surfing the Internet.
The original story was written by Brian Harring on this link: (…) -

February 15th, 2003: Little did we know By Mary MacElveen
November 3, 2006
On February 15th, 2003, the world came together to tell Bush that we did not support his invasion of Iraq, but little did we know at that time the extent of the damage that would be done. We, who protested this war, never foresaw that over 2,800 U.S. soldiers would be lost to us forever. Never did we foresee that 655,000 innocent Iraqis would be killed. I use that figure of 655,000 based upon the publication (…) -

November 3, 2006
For several days I have watched “Air Force One”, a beautiful blue plane, land and saw George Bush step out onto campaign platforms. The plane forms an impressive backdrop for a sleazy partisan effort.
I wondered how the costs of transporting Bush and his people, (staff, security, agents, etc.) were passed on to the taxpayer or if any were reimbursed by Republicans to the Treasury.
I wondered if this violated any (…) -
Israeli Left-Right Divide Unmasked as Phony
2 November 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
By Nicola Nasser*
Avigdor Lieberman’s ascent to a strategic executive role in Israel has unmasked the artificial divide between left and right and revealed the mainstream ruling elite as still in consensus on the Zionist goals, a fact that rules out any credible peace process in the foreseeable future and dooms peace and left as wishful thinking as they have been ever since the creation of the Jewish state, until a forcible outside intervention could enforce a de-Zionization of (…) -

Redford To Democrats: Show More Courage
WASHINGTON — The Sundance Kid gathered up the nerve to jump off a cliff with Butch Cassidy. Now, he wants Democrats to show similar backbone.
"Democrats need to regain the courage that’s lost with political compromises over the last few years," actor and environmental activist Robert Redford said Monday in an interview with The Associated Press. "They’ve got to get it together. If they don’t, it will not only be a tragedy for them, but a tragedy (…)
