For a good example of why foreigners hate or resent the U.S. government, one need look no further than Karen Hughes, Bush’s former political advisor who Bush hired as a U.S. government public-relations representative whose mission, ironically, is supposed to be improve the image of the U.S. government among foreigners.
Hughes has been in Saudi Arabia lecturing Saudi women on why their way of life is not as good as that of women in the United States and why it would behoove them to copy the (…)

My case is not important. But what happened to me when I was ejected from the Labour conference - simply for a one-word protest during Jack Straw’s speech this week - tells us there is something deeply wrong with the culture of our Government under Tony Blair.
We have been lied to about the war. But not only that. The party has been manipulated so that it has not been allowed to discuss the issue properly.
Indeed, the Labour leaders have got so nervous of criticism (…) -

This following sentence caught my attention in that “Booze Crisis” article in the National Enquirer where it stated, “Bush, who said he quit drinking the morning after his 40th birthday, has started boozing amid the Katrina catastrophe.”
I am of the opinion that his addiction to alcohol and his use of it have always been problematic for him.
What leads me to say this is the picture that was released the morning after his alleged choking incident involving that (…) -

If Karen Hughes is an American and supposedly a diplomatic envoy, Americans are in big trouble.

"President Bush has no advisor more loyal and less self-serving than Karen Hughes. As governor of Texas he implicitly trusted the former Dallas television reporter turned press secretary with the tending of his image and words. She was mother hen of his persona. In the White House, Hughes devoted heart and soul to Bush as his communications director, until, suddenly, she returned (…) -

"It wouldn’t be necessary to get a request from the governor or take other action,” declared White House press secretary Scott McClellan. "Mr. McClellan was referring to a new, direct line of authority that would allow the president to place the Pentagon in charge of responding (…) -

Washington, DC - With Rep. Tom DeLay’s indictment in Texas yesterday, Rep. Blunt has taken the reins as the new House Majority Leader. Despite Rep. DeLay’s innumerable ethics problems, the House leadership remains blind to the ethics issue, naming Rep. Blunt as Leader despite his trail of ethics violations. Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) this week released a 88-page report (…)
