IF THE UN ASKED MY OPINION

By Peter Fredson

August 3, 2005

It is a possibility, as remote as my being invited to go along on a space walk, that people at the UN would ever ask my opinion on any subject. However, if that should occur, here is what I might say:

In the U.S. we have a President who is shallow, callow, petulant, impatient, querulous, secretive, vengeful, impulsive and who believes that aggressivity, preemption, lying and disregard of rules makes for a good democracy. It is obvious that he wanted a sort of clone as Ambassador to the UN. Someone who is demonstrably aggressive, impatient, petulant, kiss-up and kick down, and who hates the UN with a religious fervor like George Bush and his neoconservative friends do.

Bush wanted someone who wants U.S. dominion over the earth as much as he does and is willing to walk rough-shod over all obstacles in pursuit of corporate-military neocon solutions to world problems.

When George Bush scorned all advice to skip over John Bolton as a diplomat for our country to the UN he was simply demonstrating the hatred he had, as a white supremacist Christian, toward letting inferior peoples come into ruling positions.

When Bush disregarded all the warnings that Bolton would try to dismantle, harm, injure, or destroy the UN he was simply reiterating what he had said all along. Any time the UN disregards commands from the U.S. Oval Office, it is to be castigated, its personnel to be discharged, and its property bulldozed to make way for a nice ball-park. Good Riddance to Bad Rubbish!

When Bolton stated that most of the structure of the UN could be demolished, he voiced the opinions of many neoconservatives who regard the U.N. as an obstacle to their quest for world dominion.

I have the feeling that if Bush and Bolton could arrange a small nuclear device that would completely eradicate the UN in New York, with its entire inferior non-Christian people, they would not hesitate long to use it, as long as it doesn’t cost them any votes or contributions or loss of developable property.

When Bush and Bolton say they want to “reform” the UN they mean to make it more submissive to U.S. demands. If there is any graft and corruption they want their own people to get a goodly share of it.

They have no desire to fund ecological programs, save-the-tiger programs, stop AIDS except with prayer, do anything about reproduction except by issuing Biblical quotations, etc.

Bush and Bolton know better than any jungle bunnies or third world trash how to administer world programs, how to save the ill, starving and dying peoples, educate the young, and let the rest of the world prosper. While they may not advocate the “Final Solution” of a recent dead dictator, it has a certain appeal to them, tantamount to sweeping out trash from their living room.

My opinion, or advice, is if ever you are alone with Bolton, don’t turn your back on him. The poisoned dagger may not be visible but it is ever present, just waiting to do its dirty deed. Don’t believe anything he says as there are hidden agendas all along the route.

It is obvious that Bush did not want a diplomat in a diplomatic post. He wanted a bully, a bellowing petulant irritable devious scheming bully who would not hesitate to get rid of inferior peoples by any means possible.

He wanted a guy Leo Strauss would proudly proclaim as his own. So he waited until Congress went into vacation mode, and simply appointed Bolton as his Ambassador to the UN He got Bolton in the back door, despite hesitation from his own sycophant party, so we wait anxiously to see what outrageous stupidities the pair will next intrude upon our world.

Perhaps they will let the present UN personnel get jobs at some hamburger joint and serve them, as they deserve to be served.
