The Bush administration is bracing for impeachment hearings in Congress.

"A coalition in Congress is being formed to support impeachment," an administration source said.

Sources said a prelude to the impeachment process could begin with hearings by the Senate Judiciary Committee in February. They said the hearings would focus on the secret electronic surveillance program and whether Mr. Bush violated the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

Administration sources said the charges are expected to include false reports to Congress as well as Mr. Bush’s authorization of the National Security Agency to engage in electronic surveillance inside the United States without a court warrant. This included the monitoring of overseas telephone calls and e-mail traffic to and from people living in the United States without requisite permission from a secret court.

Sources said the probe to determine whether the president violated the law will include Republicans, but that they may not be aware they could be helping to lay the groundwork for a Democratic impeachment campaign against Mr. Bush.

"Our arithmetic shows that a majority of the committee could vote against the president," the source said. "If we work hard, there could be a tie."

The law limits the government surveillance to no more than 72 hours without a court warrant. The president, citing his constitutional war powers, has pledged to continue wiretaps without a warrant.

The hearings would be accompanied by several lawsuits against the administration connected to the surveillance program. At the same time, the Electronic Privacy Information Center has filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit that demands information about the NSA spying.

Sen. Arlen Specter, Senate Judiciary Committee chairman and Pennsylvania Republican, has acknowledged that the hearings could conclude with a vote of whether Mr. Bush violated the law. Mr. Specter, a critic of the administration’s surveillance program, stressed that, although he would not seek it, impeachment is a possible outcome.

"Impeachment is a remedy," Mr. Specter said on Jan. 15. "After impeachment, you could have a criminal prosecution. But the principal remedy under our society is to pay a political price."

Mr. Specter and other senior members of the committee have been told by legal constitutional experts that Mr. Bush did not have the authority to authorize unlimited secret electronic surveillance. Another leading Republican who has rejected the administration’s argument is Sen. Sam Brownback of Kansas.

On Jan. 16, former Vice President Al Gore set the tone for impeachment hearings against Mr. Bush by accusing the president of lying to the American people. Mr. Gore, who lost the 2000 election to Mr. Bush, accused the president of "indifference" to the Constitution and urged a serious congressional investigation. He said the administration decided to break the law after Congress refused to change the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

"A president who breaks the law is a threat to the very structure of our government," Mr. Gore said.

"I call upon members of Congress in both parties to uphold your oath of office and defend the Constitution,” he said. “Stop going along to get along. Start acting like the independent and co-equal branch of American government that you are supposed to be under the constitution of our country."

Impeachment proponents in Congress have been bolstered by a memorandum by the Congressional Research Service on Jan. 6. CRS, which is the research arm of Congress, asserted in a report by national security specialist Alfred Cumming that the amended 1947 law requires the president to keep all members of the House and Senate intelligence committees "fully and currently informed" of a domestic surveillance effort. It was the second CRS report in less than a month that questioned the administration’s domestic surveillance program.

The latest CRS report said Mr. Bush should have briefed the intelligence committees in the House and Senate. The report said covert programs must be reported to House and Senate leaders as well as the chairs of the intelligence panels, termed the "Gang of Eight."

Administration sources said Mr. Bush would wage a vigorous defense of electronic surveillance and other controversial measures enacted after 9/11. They said the president would begin with pressure on Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Mr. Bush would then point to security measures taken by the former administration of President Bill Clinton.

"The argument is that the American people will never forgive any public official who knowingly hurts national security," an administration source said. "We will tell the American people that while we have done everything we can to protect them, our policies are being endangered by a hypocritical Congress."

  • The day Bush gets impeached will be a great day for America. His punishment for his crime is to send him and all of his family to iraq. Send Cheney, Rice and there families too. Let the Iraq people do what they will with them. It would be more fun to watch on TV than whats happening now in Iraq. Then the media that helps with the Bush lies can have a reality show. Dems and Reps. all the same just different names.

The loaded weapons is all we have left and hopefully we have some common sense along with the loaded weapons as I am as sure as I am sitting here writing that Bush and his cohorts have the army (military — all) brainwashed and they will be shooting and blasting American citizens (as if they were sitting ducks) as these American citizens are going to be considered as a threat to the security of the nation and will be labelled as terrorists hence giving the military a free reign on shooting anything moving.

      I hope the hell it does not come to this. All I can say is that it is time for us all to wake up and stop believing the propoganda bullshit and to stop being stupid.

  • Wiretapping is the tip of the iceberg compared to other crimes that have been committed. There is much more that most people don’t know.

    I was in a family for more than 26 years who joined Organized Crime. This isn’t any ordinary Organized Crime System my ex-wife’s family joined. In our area, they call them “The Ou0tfit”, my ex-in-laws call them “The Guys”. It would be wise to accept that being in a family for more than 26 years presents a good picture with what the family does for a living. This is considered to be a Multi-Faceted Very Wide Scale Organized Crime System. As one example of many, my experience in this family crosses with Gus Boulis’s story. Only then, Gus was alive.

    Believe me they are involved in other higher levels of crime activities that are far worse than wiretapping. If you think snooping is shocking — wait till the other crimes surface! However, it’s important to accept that wiretapping is very important as it guarantees the ability to manage and secure the other criminal activities. Without, it would become difficult to stay one step ahead.

    WASHINGTON — Republican staff members of the US Senate Judiciary Commitee infiltrated opposition computer files for a year, monitoring secret strategy memos and periodically passing on copies to the media, Senate officials told The Globe.

    From the spring of 2002 until at least April 2003, members of the GOP committee staff exploited a computer glitch that allowed them to access restricted Democratic communications without a password. Trolling through hundreds of memos, they were able to read talking points and accounts of private meetings discussing which judicial nominees Democrats would fight — and with what tactics.

    I don’t think that the "Glitch Theory" holds water... I think the VP gave them the password, after he got it from the NSA. Libby delivered the same classified type of information to the Press.
    At any rate, with the NEW wire-tapping concerns, I think the Democrats should definitely put the Confirmation of Alito on hold until this investigation is complete.

We are running out of time. They have the power and continue to accumulate more of that power every day, while we the people waste away helplessly. It seems that the only thing that will bring down these god-awful parasites will be the total economic collapse of our nation, not impeachment hearings. Their corruption and mis-management has already made the economic collapse of our country imminent.

    Please remember my experience with this, I was in a family for more than 26 years who joined this huge Organized Crime System. It took my ex-brother-in-law more than a few years to research almost all that this was about. I was told in great detail in the early 90’s and thought it was pure fantasy then. It wasn’t until around the time of my divorce that very strange threatening things were starting to happen to me and my family.

    The information about 9/11 is new to me since it happened after the divorce however it doesn’t shock me at all. There are other serious crimes and crime systems setup and operating here in the US that are being used against us. Silencing Able Danger was one of their steps in setting up 9/11. Watching them try to cover it up only shows how serious this is in that all of us are doomed if we don’t do something about this.

    In Illinois alone I was told that there were three ‘Killing Machines” being used to eliminate people in a quiet manner. These are Hospitals riddled with Fraud that are used to give someone a dirt nap. How they get you into the Hospital is by setting you up in car accidents near the Killing Machine or having your doctor tell you that you need a procedure when you really don’t. You’ll never leave the Hospital on your own two feet once you enter.

    A close friend of mine was murdered in one of the Killing Machines in early 2002. At the same time they were operating on him, the hospital was calling my office to have me pay them a sales call for consulting work. I knew about what this Hospital was about but needed the work and missed having three car accidents on the way there and back to my office. This lady and her son-in-law will testify in court if need be that her friend was murdered. The people who were involved in having me come to the Hospital even though I objected, were the Hospital President and Maintenance Forman. The people who seem responsible for the murder were two doctors assigned to his case AFTER he recovered from a bad infection, the nurses and others. His original doctor was pulled off of his case once he recovered and then the two doctors were assigned. I would assume the Hospital President was also involved.

    By the way, my friend mentioned above has had more than 11 car accidents and other strange and weird things happen to her. There’s a whole list of corruption things that are available for anyone who wants to research this story. It implicates corrupt Judges, Lawyers, Police and much more.

    Lately, there’s been a few other strange things happening with my friend as well. Only this time it involves two more Hospitals who may be additional Killing Machines. After all, it’s been 15 years since I was told there were only three. Also, I know from experience that some of the MOB people (including my ex-in-laws) only use one Hospital for their Healthcare. This includes the Mayor of Rosemont, IL who just was released. Could it be that this Hospital also is one of them?

    While married I was deep in the belly of a Corruption Laundromat and the communication link with the top part of our Political System was excellent. We always knew what the Political system was working on and what decisions were expected because we were connected! This covered all the way down through the State level to our local level. If you look at the news covering Illinois plus Chicago you might see that with all the corruption going on, people are wondering who will be left to run the Government.

    As the articles say, there’s a suspicious and near confirmed link with Israel. I personally know the links to go further around then just Israel as it does involve other countries too. As I was told, there is another so called Organization which is above the US criminal system but that I’ll leave for another time.

    They are also involved in International Distribution of Drugs throughout the US. For my area, Chicago, they used to truck in the Drugs in a “Pepper Truck” from Texas, coming in from Mexico. Something interesting is you could get the job of driving that truck if you attended a Mega Church in the Chicago area! I personally witnessed someone get hired as he went to talk to the head Minister leading our Men’s group. He was redirected to talk to one of the attending criminals and in a week he was driving the Pepper Truck. That truck was nailed not long ago with 92 million in drugs in Illinois. Beyond the Drugs, Many large Corporations are involved especially the banks and Insurance companies. The Military as you’ve suspected are deeply involved. If you look closely at the aftermath following Katrina with what happened, that should give you a window in the hired Military Fraud.

    I know personally about Clinton being involved in this so don’t discount his involvement. Plus, my ex-in-laws bragged repeatedly about the Mayor of Chicago owning property in a Corruption Laundromat. This is all I’m going to say for now.

  • Subject: Something else that’s serious to worry about!

    No one ever knows what’s going to happen when we get married! I’m trying to be funny, but unfortunately it’s the truth! I say that with caution knowing what has happened to me.

    My posts discuss a number of incidents that describe strange and serious things relating to my ex-in-laws involvement with a massive Organized Crime System. What’s always been somewhat puzzling to me is how huge is this? Who’s involved? Who’s at the top? And if there is a top? I’m going to take this a step further and explain something that my ex-in-laws told me during the 90’s.

    You know, this is where our tax dollars are stolen from us through various Fraud operations and funneled into different places, one being an huge organized Criminal Laundromat.

    It would be important at this time to realize that (us) male in-laws weren’t feeling safe, me especially. Frankly and I’ll speak for myself and say that given that I knew about murders done by this criminal group, I never wanted to ask any questions or even talk about it. I just kept my mouth shut, hoping that no one would ever feel I knew something.

    But it was during one of those gathering that I had the guts to ask, “Who’s above all of this”? I repeated myself since an answer didn’t immediately surface and said “Who’s on top of this”?

    My father-in-law and wife’s brother looked at me and my father-in-law said that he hasn’t been researching much about this but my wife’s brother has. My wife’s brother than said that there’s a group called “The Circle”!

    Now it should be important to realize that up to now, I worried and had fear about the murdering and harming that I always heard, but thought this other stuff was totally insane. But when he told me that who control all of this is called “The Circle”, I wanted to laugh! He then said that the name is French and means The Circle but is pronounced differently in French. Frankly, I didn’t talk about this for the longest time until months ago, because I felt it was pure nonsense, but it’s not!

    So when explaining this to you, I totally understand how strange and weird this sounds. But it’s important to wake up as I had and realize that something terribly important is happening and we all need to take notice. Unfortunately, it’s going to take an education in this to develop an opinion.

    Let me summarize…
    I was in a family for more than 26 years who joined a huge Crime Organization that are involved in many criminal activities. A major one is Political Corruption, however they also are involved in higher levels of extreme crime that include attempted murder and murder for starters. However, what’s been puzzling is they haven’t ever been caught and these murders started happening more than 30 years ago that I’m aware of. So how is that? Have they found a secret way to eliminate people? The answer is they focus on being very covert and pursuing their victim(s) in ways that appear to make the murder to be an accident. As mentioned, I know of three Hospitals around Chicago that are used as Killing Machines, that was back in 1991. Now there are probably more than three. How can these people get away with all of this for so long? What is their secret? How do you stop them?

    Returning to “The Circle” also known as “Le Cercle”, I ran across it on the internet. It’s a “Secret Society” and what’s important is to look closely at who are it’s members! So what does this also mean about Secret Societies?

    According to my ex-brother-in-law, who by the way, is directly linked to this group representing the family with murdering and laundering money, this is who is at the top.. From my research, Le Cercle is one of many Secret Societies who are “control layered” and “integrated” within our Political Structure. Last night while watching TV, The History Channel had a special on Secret Societies. This is another reason why I’m writing this today and would recommend that everyone watch this special. They describe the Secret Society members as being in many leading roles within the US Government as well as other Governments. Frankly, they are found throughout our Agencies meaning that even with changing our Elected Officials, we still have them in important roles!

    With what I personally know about this criminal system, I would say that this is one reason why they succeed. But you may not want to look at it this way and feel that it’s impossible for people to work as a huge Conspiracy! So, I’ll invite you to look around on your own and let you be the judge. I know it from experience that they do work together and they have an excellent communication system that links them from the bottom where I was, to the top of our Political System.

    To recap and summarize, the criminal activities I’m familiar with from being in a family for more than 26 years is actually part of a major system run by groups known as “Secret Societies” Only at my level, I’m personally familiar with them committing murders and running “Killing Machines” among many other extreme crime(s) (systems). This is besides Political Corruption, International Drug Distribution and Wide Spread Fraud, just to name a few! Of course, over the Internet while you look around, I wouldn’t expect them to talk about all of this, would you? But…..I WILL!

    My research suggests that there are other groups setting goals and managing the goals of other groups. I don’t have personal knowledge other than what I said above, but it just makes sense. I invite you to spend a little time on your own to research the following areas. Again, personally I’m aware of Le Cercle connected to murders, Killing Machines and other things.

    This should get you started. It appears that up to now, these types of groups have been able to get away with many things over the years, but my feelings are this will soon change.

    The History Channel article should be enlightening to explain the extent of who the members are and how they are involved in the World’s Governments. It also surfaces what dangers exist and a few examples of suspicious behavior. As you research, please count how many people are known to be members and are directly involved in important roles that govern.

    When you start to realize how dangerous this is, then add parts of my story.

  • I posted yesterday about connections with a particular Secret Society and the Very Wide Scale Criminal Organization that my ex-in-laws joined years ago. I also touched on how fearful it’s been to have dealt with knowing about this. However, talking about this hasn’t been easy but it’s important for everyone to know that there’s more to this than I mentioned above.

    What I’ve learned from my ex-in-laws about their connection with Secret Societies is there’s more than one that they are linked with. “Bilderbergs” and “Council of Foreign Relations” have been explained to family members as well. I’ve always been concerned for my safety regarding this and it makes me uneasy to discuss it now. However, there are other groups too besides the ones I just mentioned. You should consider their missions and goals to be much more threatening then they appear. Within the US and in my area as example, there are many horrible and bad things that by design are meant to secure and protect their mission. There’s proof of this, as other victims will willingly testify in court with their own stories. I’m not the only one. I just happened to have been in a family for more than 26 years who joined this Criminal System and it’s time for everyone to know what’s really happening!
