Movement Wars and conflicts Governments USA

Dear Ma

I cannot believe the progress our soldiers are making here in Iraq. I am sitting at a small table in downtown Baghdad (Ali’s),sipping a cool spiced tea and joking with local businessmen. They tell me things couldn’ be better now that George Bush has introduced democracy in their once stife-torn country.

I have heard reports that the electricity is now up and running 24/7 in almost all parts of Iraq, and there are new schools and hospitals being constructed every day. Those stories you hear from the Liberal TV networks about continued problems are vastly overstated. Occasionally there are sounds of gunshots, and my pal Louie caught a round in his butt just yesterday (misfire by one of our guys), but there’s no real danger here. It’s quiet and peaceful at night and the sparrows sing out the glories of a land finally saved by western style democracy.

The United States government has unselfishly spent billions here to improve all aspects of life. Our Christian values are being spread daily, and there is every sign that the heathens who still yell from those dopey towers 5 times a day will soon be changing their tunes.

Personally, I know that citizens of a new and proud Iraq now praise President Bush and the children here are already being named after him. Just today I ran into a kid named Chimp al Amahdi!

You can rest assured, Ma, that I will be home sometime soon. Donald Rumsfeld says we’ll be coming home for R&R in the near future...perhaps as early as 2010. Meanwhile we’ve got some more ’mopping up’ to do just North of town. There are still a few nests of pesky terrorists who think they can cause us grief. Other than a few dozen amputees and another 10 deaths this week, things are goiing according to schedule.

  • I hope this is tongue-in-cheek. Otherwise, "Moe" is to be equated with "Tokyo Rose" of the WW2.

  • ANyone who believes we have a "liberal" press under our current administration is sick in the head and can’t be taken seriously. Secondly, anyone who thinks in terms of "liberal" and "conservative" ..."us and them"...."black and white" is doing nothing good for this earth. I suggest you can yourself up as soylant green and have yourself shipped to Africa to feed the starving poor.

  • Granted, this article was sarcasm....but Anne Coulter and the like would think otherwise. We need to start grinding up these people and feeding them to those who might still have a future. Unless, of course, eating useless human flesh would lead to an outbreak of the brain wasting "Mad Coulte" disease.
