Sham election has united liberals

When I think I’ve heard it all, Republican hypocrisy soars to a new level. It was amazing listening to a GOP senator infer that because the exit polls in Ukraine said our guy won, then there must have been voter fraud when Putin’s candidate was declared victorious. Let me get this straight: Exit polls in Ukraine are accurate, but when a substantial Kerry win is predicted they say, "Oh my! There must be something wrong with the way we do our exit polls."

No matter what Mr. Shock says in his letter, there is no question that there was massive voter fraud in our presidential election. Exit polls are never off by any significant amount. Suddenly, we get paperless computerized voting machines and now they are inaccurate. Anyone believe that? Well! I got a bridge to sell ya.

A number of statistical analyses have been done. The odds that there was no voter fraud ranged from about 1,000 to 1 to 250 million to 1. To believe that this was a fair election, one has to be either willfully ignorant or delusional.

If the far-right thinks it is just a small minority that are aware of the massive fraud perpetrated on the American people, they are sadly mistaken. I personally know over 50 people who think this was a sham election. In fact, there are over a 150 million Americans who also do. In addition, the vast majority of the world—that is billions of people— doesn’t believe the supposed result of this election.

When one considers the unbelievable right-wing slant of the mainstream media, even if the election was not fraudulent—which it was—it is incredible that 49 percent of the people who voted, did so against Bush. Just think of the sewage that pollutes the AM airwaves 24 hours a day. The right gets 24/7 free commercials.

That will change. www.AirAmericaRadio.com and www.RadioPower.org outrate right-wing talk shows in just about every market they are in. Station managers will soon see the light and have more liberal programming. When that happens, it will be hasta la vista, baby to the nastiness that permeates the likes of Rush, Sean, Bill and G. Gordon.

There is one thing people can be assured of. This travesty of democracy has performed the miraculous: It has united liberals. We are organizing to a degree that has never been seen previously. We will not stand for the ultra-right-wing, small-minded, anti-fact, anti-science, theocratic monarch where elections are irrelevant.

We will never, as Mr Shock says, "Get over it." We will never get over having our democracy subverted.

I urge everyone to follow the people of Ukraine. Do everything legal—though the other side doesn’t bother with small things like legalities—to take back our country. Get involved! Wear orange ribbons or arm bands to protest the stealing of our democracy.
