THE COMING STORM : E MAIL-GATE

According to Journalist Jason Leopold (" Gonzales Withholding E Mails" , truthout, 2/15/06 ) Albert Gonzales , our beloved Attorney General, is blocking the production of Emails that may incriminate Vice President Dick Cheney.... The Watergate stonewall has been put in place - "national security" and "executive privleges" have deployed to obstruct the administration of justice.... So much for the hoary myth of "full White House cooperation" in Plamegate..... Prosecutor Fitzgerald informed the Libby defence team in a letter dated 1/23/06 that " ... we have learned that not all email at the OFFICE OF VICE PRESIDENT for certain time-periods in 2003 (have been recorded) through the normal archiving process in the White House computer system.... " ..... As " luck" would have it , 250 pages of "lost" Emails have now been "discovered"......... According to Mr. Leopold they don’t make pleasant reading for Prime-Minister Richard Cheney : " Sources close to the probe said the White House "discovered" the emails two weeks ago (mid-february) and turned them over to Fitzgerald last week. The sources added that the emails could prove that Cheney lied to FBI investigators when he was interviewed about the leak in early 2004......" ..... What was Dick allegedly lying about ?.... He claims he was unaware Wilson was chosen to travel to Niger, that he never read Wilson’s CIA report nor did the CIA tell him about Wilson’s trip. " The emails , according to Leopold’s sources, demonstrate that Cheney was the mastermind of an attack on Wilson’s credibility - an effort dating back to March 2003...... Furthermore it alleged that Cheney used the CIA to dig up dirt on Wilson..... Has Mr. Fitzgerald gone to court to force production of the Emails withheld by Gonzales ? If not , why not ? .... Why hasn’t Mr. Cheney been subpoened to testify - this time under oath, and in person - before the Plame grand jury ? ..... It is in the national interest to produce forthwith all credible evidence implicating Vice President Richard Cheney in potential impeachable offences..... Upon his impeachment , trial and removal from office ( or resignation) he will still be subject to the normal processes of the criminal justice system......
