Home > The Buck Stops Here?..Bush’s twisted answer
This morning (Mon) Bush spoke to Johns Hopkins International Studies Group students and took questions, many of which were embarrassing.
One question dealt with Bush’s low poll numbers. Bush responded "I respect dissenters but know I must and will do what I believe is right. Democracy is a wonderful thing; people have a right to voice their opinions and that’s a good thing..." blah blah, yada yada yada.
With this twisted logic, one can only assume that the U.S.Congress, with a current approval rating of just 30%, should state to the citizens of America "We respect your right to complain, but we must and will do what WE think is right"
It was always thus.
