The Other Side of Bush’s Face

In the famous western movie "One Eyed Jacks", Marlon Brando, in jail, speaks to Karl Malden (The ex-outlaw hypcrite sheriff).....
"You’re a one-eyed jack, Dad", he drawls,"and I’ve seen the other side of your face"

George Bush is the definitive example of the "one eyed jack" referred to by Brando. In his early years he pretended to be a college student (while shooting drugs, womanizing and guzzling booze),then he became the phoney baseball team owner. When that failed he helmed Arbuso Oil..and that was a fiasco.

Next step was Governor of Texas. He bragged about his great results, but let 131 prisoners go to their deaths without consideration of innocence, and fouled up the "No child left behind" promise. In short, he made a thorough mess of things while learning the most important aspect of politics: Learn to lie.

He lied his fool head off in the debates leading up to the 2000 election, promising no "nation building", fair, balanced, bi-partisan government, and advocated honesty and ethical behaviour. All the while covering that "other" side of his double face.

The rest is history; Bush lied us into war, lied about the economy (he did it again today!), lied about the advantages of privatizing Social Security, lied about the Medicare changes, lied about his "Health Savings Plan", and lied about the "advantages" of tax cuts for the rich (claiming that the biggest benefits would go to the middle and lower classes!).

He lied about WMDs,about the Niger Yellow cake nonsense and about the "progress" we’re making each week in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Finally, he lied about the advantages of "staying the course" in Iraq. "It was worth the sacrifice" he claims constantly.

A one-eyed jack for sure!

In the movie’s jailhouse scene, Dad Longworth (Malden, the crooked sheriff), says to Brando "We’re going to give you a fair trial, kid..and then I’m going to hang you, personally" Bush is doing the same to our nation. He is promising to hang us...and doing his best.

Let’s see if he pulls it off.
