  Another great story from DU

  I’m certainly not as eloquent or loquacious as many of the folks on this board. However, listening to Ed Schultz today, I heard something completely unexpected.

  He was giving the opening speech of his radio show to a crowd at a carpenter’s union hall in St. Paul, Minnesota. Typical blue-collar crowd, probably moderate to conservative (but not radical right), in a very Republican city.

  He mentioned the "I" word as having come up in Congress for the first time. Impeachment.

  And the place exploded. The cheering all but overwhelmed the microphones, and didn’t stop for five full minutes. You’d have thought that he’d just suggested putting all the union busters, outsourcers and corporate heads to the guillotine. I was expecting cheering and support, but not a riot!

  Impeachment itself may never happen, but could this reaction be the start of something big? Like maybe the political tides of the ’mushy middle’ — even if they are trade unionists — finally swinging our way? I find it hard to not be encouraged by what I heard over the radio today, and I could sure use some considering what’s been going on since Bush’s fraudulent re-election.

    St. Paul? Republican???

    I lived in St. Paul for 17 years. If there is a more reliably Democratic city in USA, I would like to know where it is. Fact, Norm Coleman was elected as a DFL mayor of St. Paul. Then he switched parties. When he ran for the Senate last fall, not ONE precinct in all of St. Paul went to Norman in spite of the fact that he ran on his record as a "successful" mayor.

    And as for the Carpenter’s Union, I lived in the same precinct as that union’s business manager for five years. He was, hands down, the best political mind in the neighborhood and we were home to Macalester College and had full professors in our caucus.

    My guess is that most in that audience went to hear Ed Shultz hoping he was progressive enough

    Impeachment? How about a war crimes trial or treason? Killing over 100,000 people certainly rises to the death penalty.

    And another thing, stop just blaming Bush. The president is just a 4-year fall guy. It took many years and a lot of blackmail and bribery to corrupt congress. That is where the real power lies and that is who has to be replaced. Re-elect NOBODY - NO EXCEPTIONS!

    It was congress that did not declare war. It was congress that turned their responsibility over to a drunken coke head president appointed by the supreme court after massive election fraud was discovered. Bush is just a puppet, chosen by design to lead the type of people that fight in the military. The believers.

    The war in Iraq was cooked up in 1992 by Rabbi Dov Zackheim. The plan was called project for a new American century. The US dollar was nullified by the NESARA ruling. Yes it really happened and yes there is a massive counter Intel program to make it appear as a bunch of nuts. They needed a way to end the Iraqi petrol buck as the interest on US dollars being held in foreign banks is all the dollar is worth.

    Oil rich countries were tired of American belligerence and were going to start trading oil for euros which would make the dollar worthless.

    The EU was formed to counter the military threats and buildup that the Zionist plan called for. Europe was once our friends.

    This is the danger in letting a minority such as the Zionist (CFR, Worlds banking system, JDL, ADL, 60% of your congress, most of your press,the military industrial complex, etc.) control your government.
    It is the price of apathy that only the poor and middle class pay. George Bush has financially done quite nicely through his fathers war related businesses but then, that is the history of the Bush family.

    Amen. Either BushCo SPONSORED the 9-11 attacks, or — at the very least, but I don’t think they’re guilty of mere complicity — they had foreknowledge of the attacks, affirmatively wanted them to happen, and withheld what might have been an effective military response.

    But when you hear about people who worked in the WTC South Tower describing how bomb-sniffing security dogs were taken off the job just days before attacks, and there were "engineers" in the building during a "power-down" (no security cameras!) the weekend preceding the attacks, and you learn that the security company had Marvin Bush as a director, and you see "Flight 175" emitting a flash maybe 1/3 of a second before impact . . . nah, this wasn’t Arabs with boxcutters, this was fucking professionals.

    I wouldn’t be too optimistic about this potential impeachment - no doubt it will be psychologically removed from the people’s minds with another coincidental terrorist attack. Perhaps it will be blamed on Iran or Syria this time? A question that must ALWAYS be asked is: "Who benefits?" That will usually point you towards the "source"...

  I definatly agree with you guys more and more people are starting to wake up to whats going on in this country I know when the media does report on things like john conyers meeting they always like to throw in that it was started by all the far left wing bloggers to try to illegitamize the movement I for one can tell you that as a former republican people in my former party have started to join this movement ive told every conservative i know about the downing street memo and the medias attempt to bury it every single person ive told was shocked and grew angry they all said the same thing yea it makes me mad but what can we do i told them for one you should sign john conyers petition i got 18 people to sign it and all of them were republicans i told them after that to mention it to everyone at school now my whole school is is having discussions about it even the teachers i always thought the only way to bring bush to justice was to to to kill him myself but now i was shocked what you could do just by telling a few people.

  I think it is a great thing to see actually happen. However, like picking weeds, you can get what you see. But it’s what you don’t see that keeps coming back again and again. You have to be sure you get the root too!

  To impeach Bush without punishing others involved would be a serious mistake. There are Bush’s NeoCon friends, the Republican loyalists and even the media bosses (yes, they covered up what they knew to be a serious sequence of crimes).

  In addition, there are numerous other factions within your country that are involved.

  To be sure, those ignorant redneck fools that support Bush - average Jack and Jill Americans - are responsible as well. If they had all banded together with non-supporters to fight the illegal actions of the government, something could have been done. So, to some extent, they were complicit in the illegal war of terrorism. They cannot just use the excuse that the government lied. That fact was known early on and they ignored it.

  And, the most hideous form of the "weeds" are the ones that hide in areas least expected to be involved. Why was there no outrage by the Democrats when Bush "won" the second election? Think about it. Everyone knew there was funny business going on with Diebold. Why did Kerry not protest when there was ample evidence of tampering? (How much money was left in his "war chest"? Where did it go?)

  When Kerry supposedly first caught wind of the Downing Street Memo, he indicated he would start impeachment proceedings. Why did he back off? Perhaps it was a good (false flag) cover.

  And, this is the type of democracy the US wants to spread to other countries?

  It is very good that awareness of Bushinista lying is increasing. We can only hope that this extends to 911. We cannot expect that the MSM will help much in this effort: the Wash Post attacks even Conyers’ DSM hearings! It’s up to the continuing blogger efforts.

  Which leads me to my point: the awareness of Bushinista lying will be very good only if the next (perhaps imminent?) 911 event causes an immediate knee-jerk reaction in a majority of people that the new 911 was an inside job. The desired reaction is that of a horde of angry hornets descending on their seats of government, bent on a tar and feathering.

  The clamping down of the internet and other interpersonal communication (cell phones) must figure into their plans. This would of course cause economic chaos, but if the next 911 takes an econmic form, that and the attendant civilian communication shutdown could be blamed on the enemy (e.g, Iran). Don’t forget that Israel/Mossad has a hand in US communications (e.g., AmDocs, etc.).

  I have no answers, other than that of just keep talking about government mendacity and their capacity for utter ruthlessness: killing of their own for the benefit of the elites— Pearl Harbor, 911, US troops in Iraq, etc..

  Just want to let you all know—my cure for sick america—pass a tough law that all of us become jews—end of all problems.
  I read last week an article that i like to share-just the jest of it and shows you how sick america is with the jewish blight.
  Back when we were bombing the shit out of Bosnia,there was a top official general,the americans wanted to kill him.At the time 8 disinformation army agents were working at CNN and one at NPR.The rest possibly at fox,however,the trap was to use Larry King(jew)CNN and have the victum travel to the local TV station for an interview by satellite.Luck for the victum,he was late 6 minites.A USA bomb was sent down-3 seconds into the King interview. It appeared that Larry was not to pleased to see a guy blown up.
  There is very many sick people in Amerikaka .Time to put limits on Jews controlling government and a bill be made to make it a crime in buying people out.

  Nationalize USA Oil Production and Distribution (and really hurt Bushit)
