WSJ PUNDIT HARWOOD DEFENDS NIE LEAK

John Harwood of the Wall Street Journal appeared on MSNBC last night - in full defence mode of King George W. Bush.... The Leak of the National Intelligence Estimate by Bush and Cheney was no big deal claims John...... "EVERYBODY DOES IT" chirped Johnny ..... Mr. Harwood convienently omits crucial facts.... The information King George leaked to Judith Miller was untrue .... All the information Libby was authorised to disclose to reporters in the runup to the war , classified secrets after all, did not expose corruption in high places . The leaked information corrupted the public dialogue with information designed to hoodwink the American people to support a war of aggression under false pretences...... Such conduct constitutes a Conspiracy to Defraud the United States involving the President of the United States.... Business as usual ? ... Mr. Harwood trotted out the old chestnut that poor , dim-witted King George was a "victim" of intelligence failures..... No fraud.... He’s a victim , too..... Is Mr. Harwood aware that the October 2002 NIE declassified by the CIA on July 18,2003 convienently omitted disclosure of the President’s Summary.. Why did they do that ?.... Because that summary , prepared to suit the limited attention span of Mr. Harwood’s hero-president ,would show that Mr. Bush was informed , by both State and the Energy Dept. , that intercepted aluminum tubes purchased by Iraq were intended for the use of conventional rockets , NOT centrifuges ..... OOPS !!!!!..... Is Mr. Harwood aware that bonuses were offered to DOE analysts ( 20 k ) if they would claim those damn tubes were used to build centrifuges.... Still the DOE would not buckle..... MR. BUSH KNEW ....
