Sen. Bob Byrd is frequently identified as the US. Senate’s leading Constitutional Scholar .... Here is what he said of George W. Bush on 10/20/05 : " Americans have been stunned at the recent news of the abuse of power by an overzealous president. It has become apparent that this administration has engaged in a consistent and unrelenting pattern of abuse against our Countries law abiding citizens and against our Constitution...." Well said... Sen. Byrd also wrote a book entitled "Confronting an arrogant and reckless presidency" .... Additionally Sen . Byrd claims he carries a pocket -sized copy of the Constitution on his person at all times..... Noble sentiment..... It would seem his oath of office ( a solemn vow made before God to protect the Constitution against all Enemies both foreign and domestic ) leaves him honour bound to ’confrontthe 'arrogant and reckless President who has engaged in an ’unrelenting pattern of abuse ’ against law-abiding citizens and the Constitution , a copy of which he on his person at all time..... Yet the Senator won’t take the fight to the usurper. He won’t even support a toothless censure resolution.... What gives here ?.... He’s up for re-election.... One would think the Senator who joined the Senate freshman class lead by Henry Clay (just kidding) would cast aside base ambitions and lead the clarion call ..... What a great legacy that would be to leave behind..... So far he’s just another Impeachment MIA.....

SENATOR BYRD SPEAKS IN STENTORIAN TERMS AS THOUGH HE WERE ADDRESSING A ROMAN SENATE 2000 YEARS AGO, BUT HIS MESSAGE RINGS HOLLLOW. THIS FORMER kkk MEMBER BRINGS HIS BIBLE AND A COPY OF THE CONSTITUTION WIT HIM WHEREEVER HE GOES, BUT HE DOESN’T HAVE THE COURAGE OF HIS CONVICTIONS, AND SO HE JOINS HIS OTHER ESTEEMED COLLEGUES IN HIS SO-CALLED AUGUST BODY OF PROFESSIONAL POLS. WAKE UP, YOU ARE WAYBEHIND THE REST OF THE WORLD.

Sen. Byrd has been around since the time of John Kennedy and he know how to play the game.
Aside from his KKK membership and eternal talk of some void (the U.S. constitution has always been used as a weapon, never a set of practices) he carries in his pocket, the man knows how to extract what he needs.
All these big words and fancy ways of talk was learned by him going to night school for a law degree and is way over all Americans’ heads. Not that they mean anything even if there put into practice.

I’ve wondered why he’s MIA. Maybe he or his family have been threatened. I’d really like to know how Ernst Hollings’ daughter died. I’m afraid that they’ve backed away from killing well known personages and now kill relatives to control their targets (or kill preemptively as in the case of John Jr.)
