Home > Where Is our Anti-Vote Fraud Resolution?
Posted to the re-worked kucinich For President forum at http://www.kucinich.us , was the below post. This is now known as the Volunteers For Change forum and is still well-trafficked.
"Several Progressive Democratic groups that I know of supported a calling campaign to ring the Dem senators phones off the hook on January 5th-6th. One of the people from PDA-IL was on Capitol Hill on the 5th, and reported that many of the Dem Senate office staffers were exhausted and some even in tears from the sheer volume of phone calls in support of contesting certification of the Ohio electoral vote. Several told her they had never seen anything like it. I personally made calls to every one plus Chafee & Snowe in the middle of the night before the certification vote. 23 of the Dem Senators’ voice mailboxes were completely full and unable to take any more messages.
An interesting thing to note is that this did NOT happen to most of the Republicans. They have no idea what we put the Democrats through. At one point, I suggested repeating the events continually but calling the Republican Senators instead. If we could get a cohesive concerted effort across all the progressive groups to bombard the Republican offices with calls for election reform, we could easily shut their D.C. offices down for any other business. It’s the only way I can think of that we could force immediate and drastic action on election reform.
This by rights should be a non-partisan issue. Especially now. But the news on this issue is scarce at the moment. It’s like we pushed for a grand show on the 6th, but that was the end of the deal. I’m having a hard time finding real news on any of the sites I usually went to for updates, which are very liberal.
We MUST retain focus on the issue of election reform. Without it, we are in very serious trouble. A lot of show was accomplished on January 6th, very little concrete was poured in the bridge to clean elections. Where the **** are our hard hats on this one? Why are we diving into so many other issues at the expense of the most important issue?

I agree with you Dan. Everyone seems to be pushing for election reform, but these guys walked all over the laws we already had, so how can anyone trust congress to fix it? Most of them have been put in there by the same corrupt system. Since congress knows that it is Bush and co that control the votes, they spend their time appealing for Bush’s vote, not the American people.
I think Tom Delay explains what happened on the 6th perfectly
"We are not here to debate evidence, but to act our roles in some scripted, insincere morality play"
because if they did debate the evidence, they would be exposed. The republicans had no argument. No one, democrats included, seemed to have read the conyers report or they would have realized that hundreds of thousands were disinfranchised. Why did they say these illegal actions would not have changed the election? It makes no sense. They know that illegal activities were committed, but no one did anything that would change the election? If bush and cronies were attempting to steal the election, they would do it until they won. And then they would shout anyone down who exposed them. The defeatist attitudes of the democrats are what is ruining our country. They are supposed to be the opposition party. Even Barbara Boxer said she didn’t want to inconvenience her friends. These people seem to think they own OUR congress. It it not about you and your friends, Barbara. This is OUR country. You work for US! WE THE PEOPLE! The democrats are not supposed to be pretending all is hunky dory because they don’t want to ruin the Christmas party. This is a major crisis in our country. We have a dictator attempting to ruin everything good about our country. We cannot wait and hope they let us have a democracy in four years. We must act now!
Here are some quotes and links for the PDF of Jan 6....looks like you better keep up your writing!
