A while ago, I had discussions with a number of people through emails where they have suggested that I back down in my criticisms of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton since she voted for the war and perhaps will be the Democratic candidate come 2008. But, if I want to remain truthful with my readers and have credibility, I simply have to stay the course. As an American that has been against this war from the start, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s vote for this war was (…)

Molly Ivins: Not. backing. Hillary
21 January 2006by Molly Ivins
AUSTIN, Texas (Creators Syndicate) — I’d like to make it clear to the people who run the Democratic Party that I will not support Hillary Clinton for president.
Enough. Enough triangulation, calculation and equivocation. Enough clever straddling, enough not offending anyone This is not a Dick Morris election. Sen. Clinton is apparently incapable of taking a clear stand on the war in Iraq, and that alone is enough to disqualify her. Her failure to speak out on Terri (…) -
Muravchick, American Enterprise Institute: My Comrades? My Ass!!!
21 January 2006Joshua Muravchik an American Enterprise Institute scholar wrote an article for, Commentary magazine, titled ’Comrades’. The title is a testimony to the authors earlier days as a Socialist, Communist sympathizer, not that there is anything wrong with that, unless they conspired to commit treason. The first paragraphs of Muravchik’s article, recounts, when the author wrote an article in 1972 for Commentary magazine attacking George McGovern. It is ironic that McGovern was a decorated war (…)

I WEEP FOR MY COUNTRY
21 January 2006I Weep For My Country
By Peter Fredson
January 20, 2006
Several years ago I was trying to find something on TV worth watching amidst all the commercial propaganda for cars, chapstick, sanitary napkins, and diet pills, when my attention was suddenly focused on the slight figure of a white-haired Senator, with a slight tremor, who was holding a palm-sized copy of our Constitution in his hand.
He said this phrase which has since come back to haunt me. “Today I weep for my country.” At (…) -
Hands Off Venezuela: Building Solidarity at the 2006 World Social Forum
21 January 20061. It is incontestable that at the current stage, what Chavez and his supporters are doing in Venezuela amount to Social Democratic reform implementation, not a socialist revolution. Given the current global politics of imperialist neoliberalism imposed by the WTO, IMF, World Bank and the US treasury department (for these four have to be considered together), and the fact that since the collapse of the so called socialist countries of East Europe and the USSR and the capitalist (…)

Real Reasons Why The United States Makes War
21 January 2006When you hear Bush and his repetitions of democracy and freedom for all nations of the world, say to yourself, BULLSH*T!!! ...look for the real signs ...the true indicators of why the U.S. invades, attacks and occupies another country.
The reasons are multifaceted, though simply put, the aggressive foreign policies we are seeing, the covert activities and the military strong arming used against other nations by the United States are by all accounts, actions used to coerce, intimidate and (…) -
Collapse of U.S. Economy Imminent
21 January 2006In its attempt to establish a world empire dominating every nation on the planet, the U.S. has exhausted its ability to finance the expansion and the country now faces imminent financial collapse. From all indications, it looks like 2006 will spell the end for America.
Consider these five important points: Point #1 The U.S., Great Britain and Israel are preparing to attack Iran. As it appears the main reason for invading Iraq was to stop it from selling oil in Euros, likewise Iran has (…) -
US Troops told to ignore Opium Crop that is now more than 1/2 Afghan GDP
20 January 2006By Philip Shishkin in Faizabad, Afghanistan, and David Crawford in Berlin, The Wall Street Journal
The suspicious whirring of a motor came from somewhere in the dark skies above the river separating Northern Afghanistan from Tajikistan. Tajik border guards say they shouted warnings and then opened fire. What fell out of the sky was a motorized parachute carrying 18 kilograms of heroin.
It was a small drop in a mighty flood of Afghan heroin that is reshaping the world drug market. Once (…) -

“Military men are just dumb stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy.” - Henry Kissinger, quoted in “Kiss the Boys Goodbye: How the United States Betrayed Its Own POW’s in Vietnam”
Vietnam was a chemical war for oil, permanently contaminating large regions and countries downriver with Agent Orange, and environmentally the most devastating war in world history. But since 1991, the U.S. has staged four nuclear wars using (…)
