In response to a past article written by Reggie: G.W. Bush: Deaf Man Talking I stated that her article goes much deeper than that. If you have not read this article, I highly recommend that you do.
Here is my direct response to her outstanding article: “But, I think it goes much deeper than that. It goes to his mentality. I do not know if you were ever a fan of that show “The Pretender” I was a huge fan of it when it was on. In order to order to try to tie loose ends (…)

19 January 2006by Larisa Alexandrovna
Michael LedeenA controversial neoconservative who occasionally consulted for the Bush Defense Department has confirmed that he was a contributor to the Italian magazine Panorama, whose reporter first came across forged documents which purported that Iraq was seeking to obtain uranium from Niger.
The bogus documents became the basis for the infamous sixteen words in President Bush’s 2003 State of the Union Address, in which he detailed his case for war. Their origin (…) -
Why have both the US and the UK have given Iran the materials it needs to go nuclear?
19 January 2006by Steve Watson
We are being constantly bombarded with propaganda over Iran and its intention to build a nuclear arsenal. We are told (contrary to intelligence reports) that they are just months away from doing so. And we have been told that they must be stopped.
What we are not being told is that both the US and the UK have supplied Iran with the materials and the know how in order that they may build the bomb.
With the news at the weekend of Iranian intentions to resume nuclear fuel (…) -
New Book "State of War" by NY Times’ James Risen Gives Vital Background to Downing Street Memo
19 January 2006By Jonathan Schwarz
The relevant excerpts from State of War appear at the bottom of this post
After the Downing Street Memo was leaked last May, the U.S. and U.K. governments were eventually forced to admit it was genuine. However, they never revealed any background to the memo-most importantly, who did Richard Dearlove, head of British intelligence, meet with in Washington just before the July 23, 2002 high-level U.K. government meeting the memo memorialized? This would go a long way to (…) -
Dr. Michelle Bachelet victor in Chilean election
19 January 2006by Brian Mcafee
Michelle Bachelet, a pediatrician and former health and defense minister, soundly defeated her opponent; billionaire tycoon Sebastian Pinera in Chile’s presidential run-off Sunday. Bachelet’s 53.5 percent to Pinera’s 46.5 percent marked a trend throughout Latin America of leftist electoral victories. Leftists now run Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Uruguay, and Venezuela, with the inclusion of Chile, the political sentiment of the region is unmistakable.

KIND A SLEAZY : PNAC MAMA TARGETS IRAN
19 January 2006Instead of spouting off an endless series of lies about the Islamic Republic of Iran , Dr. Rice should be queried by the world news media to explain her conduct prior to , during , and following the 9/11 terror attacks. In specific I refer to the following issues : 1) On 9/10/01, The Pakistani Daily reported that the visit of (ISI Chief) Lt. General Mahmoud Ahmed to the United States "triggered speculation about the agenda of his mysterious meetings at the PENTAGON and THE NATIONAL (…)

BUSH AND NEWSPEAK DIPLOMACY
19 January 2006BUSH AND NEWSPEAK DIPLOMACY
By Peter Fredson
January 19, 2006
Most of us know that Bush not only mangles phrases, but he manipulates the meaning of ordinary words, twisting them beyond recognition in some sick paraphrase designed to further his imperial ambitions. For instance, he seems to blast ordinary but “sacred” words in the US into unrecognizable rubble. Democracy, liberty, freedom, and sovereignty have been mangled and distorted far from any legitimate meaning.
Democracy for (…) -

A Joint Statement Concerning the Programs of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund in Iraq
19 January 2006by Iraqi Trade Unions
The Iraqi economy has been severely affected by decades of sanctions, wars and occupation. The Iraqi trade unions and federations believe in the capacity of the country with all its oil and mineral resources to provide a decent living standard for Iraqis.
The federations and unions consider that the wars and occupation have caused a dramatic decrease in the living and social standards of Iraqis and especially of workers.
The federations and unions stress the (…) -
Segregated Schools: Shame of The City
19 January 2006by Jonathan Kozol
Stuyvesant High School is one of the most vivid symbols of the consequences of decades of systematic racism in the United States. Black and Hispanic children make up about 72 percent of the citywide enrollment in the New York City public schools. At Stuyvesant the most prestigious public school in the city they make up less than six percent of enrollment.
In fact, the percentage of black kids who go to Stuyvesant has decreased dramatically in the last quarter (…)
