Gaza-PNN – Agidea Prata, the mother of Vittorio Arrigoni, the Italian activist and journalist killed in Gaza on Friday, said that she will be sailing to Gaza on May with the Free Gaza flotilla.
Prata on Saturday told Italian news sources that “I want to see Gaza that my son loved and sacrificed for, I want to meet the good people living there that my son Vik always talked about”. She added that Vittorio work will go on though his friends.
Vittorio’s mother added that her son received (…)

Vittorio Arrigoni, a winner (video)
20 April 2011In the beautiful scenery of Gaza’s cemetery, where soldiers of WWI are buried, Vik explains how he would want to be commemorated if he would die (in a hundred years or so).
It’s true words, from a true winner.
You’re dreams will live on, we are guarding over them.

My absence on the Central Committee
20 April 2011I was familiar with the content of compañero Raúl’s report to the 6th Congress of the Party. He had shown it to me a few days previously on his own initiative, as he has done on many other occasions without me asking him to because, as I already explained, I had delegated all my responsibilities within the Party and the state in the proclamation of July 2006.
Doing so was a duty that I did not hesitate for a second to fulfill.
I knew that the state of my health was serious, but I felt (…) -
(video) London vigil to pay respect to Vittorio Arrigoni (WARNING IMAGES OF WAR WITHIN)
20 April 2011Vittorio Arrigoni, author of ’GAZA stay Human’.
Vittorio Arrigoni’s middle name was Utopia, yet he chose to spend most of the past three years in the hell of Gaza, acting as a human shield for Palestinian fishermen harassed by the Israeli navy and reporting to a worldwide audience.
His "Guerrilla Radio" blog about life in Gaza was required reading among radical circles in Italy and he published passionate newspaper commentaries about the plight of the Palestinian people and the "crimes" (…) -
WHY WE SAY STOP BOMBING LIBYA NOW
20 April 2011A packed special meeting of the Stop the War national steering committee last Saturday brought delegates from across the country and from affiliated organisations to discuss the issues arising from the attack on Libya and wider issues of the "war on terror".
The statement last week signed by Cameron, Obama and Sarkozy made it clear that this is now a war of regime-change, which is neither sanctioned by the UN resolution nor legal under international law.
How the (…) -
If Cairo Came to Kabul
20 April 2011Before Tahrir Square happened almost nobody predicted that President Hosni Mubarak would be forced out of office by a movement that didn’t pick up a gun. Had President Barack Obama expected that outcome, he might have publicly backed Mubarak’s departure before, rather than after, Mubarak stepped down.
Obama can be seen as overcompensating for that performance in Libya, but there he is placing faith in weapons. Anybody can do that. Egypt still has a long way to go on its path to a just (…) -

Vik: a friend, a brother, a humanist
18 April 2011He was hung.
I first heard of Vik before arriving in Gaza. Vik had just been injured by IOF water canoning which shattered the windows of the fishing boat he was accompanying. Vik had some injuries from the shattered glass.
When I met Vik he was nothing but humble and humour. A compassionate man, living to do good and do anything for Palestinian justice. Others knew him better and longer, and told me of Viks arrests by the IOF, deportation, and other interesting stories. But above all, (…)
