Outstanding, anti-racist, humanitarian John Pilger (UK-based Australian journalist) has published an article “Lies, Damn Lies” in the New Statesman: .
John Pilger’s article is highly critical of the Rupert Murdoch-run Murdoch Media Empire and picks upon shocking instances in which Murdoch Empire Media lies drove children to suicide.
However the biggest crime by far of the Murdoch Empire has been support for Apartheid Israel , UK and US wars.
Unfortunately the closest John Pilger gets (…)

The Chinese Come Calling
29 July 2009The Chinese Come Calling
Posted on Jul 28, 2009
By Robert Scheer
What a hoot. The Chinese Communists invaded Washington on Monday demanding not that we sacrifice our freedoms but rather that we balance our budget. Creditors get to make that kind of call. And the Marxists of Beijing, who have turned out to be the world’s most prudent bankers, are worried about their assets invested in our banana republic.
“China has a huge amount of investment in the United States, mainly in the form (…) -

The Israeli army has launched another cross border attack on the Gaza Strip, opening fire on villagers’ homes south of the impoverished sliver.
Israeli tanks and bulldozers rolled hundreds of meters deep into the strip on Wednesday and flattened cultivated fields in Al Qararra town in southern Gaza.
According to witnesses several Palestinian homes were damaged in the attack but there were no reports of casualties. Four tanks and two bulldozers (…) -
Why Was Morocco’s Autonomy Initiative Devised?
29 July 2009This view that Morocco’s autonomy initiative for the Western Sahara should be supported because it is a commendable and reasonable compromise to once and for all overcome “the deadlock in United Nations’ mediated negotiations” has been getting a lot of play time recently by the pro-Rabat forces. The view is unacceptable and should be soundly rejected because its basic premise — that the “deadlock is the result of a “fail[ure] to reach a mutually-acceptable solution — is just not true. The (…)

When China prepares its «Great Escape» from the dollar-trap for the end of summer 2009
28 July 2009When China prepares its «Great Escape» from the dollar-trap for the end of summer 2009
Excerpt GEAB N°34 (April 16, 2009) -
LEAP/E2020 believes that the next stage of the crisis will result from a Chinese dream. Indeed, what on earth can China be dreaming of, caught – if we listen to Washington – in the “dollar trap” of its USD 1,400-billion worth of USD-denominated assets? If we believe US leaders and their scores of media experts, China is only dreaming of remaining a prisoner, and (…) -
In All the World
28 July 2009By David Glenn Cox
I write about homelessness and I get answers like, “So, are you for or against Obama’s stimulus?” Recently I read an article that was highly rated entitled “Now is the Time to Give Up on the President.” The author, using snark and sarcasm, set up straw men and then proceeded to knock them all down, arguing that it is much too soon to criticize this president. The underlying theme was, however, that to criticize the President was to be disloyal and in doing so was (…) -

27 July 2009Laboratory Says Security Is Tighter, but Earlier Count Missed Dangerous Vials
By Nelson Hernandez
An inventory of potentially deadly pathogens at Fort Detrick’s infectious disease laboratory found more than 9,000 vials that had not been accounted for, Army officials said yesterday, raising concerns that officials wouldn’t know whether dangerous toxins were missing.
After four months of searching about 335 freezers and refrigerators at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of (…) -
Not Discouraged, Abandoned
26 July 2009By David Glenn Cox
Last month the number of Americans who lost their jobs was revised down to 467,000, just under a half a million. The total number of newly unemployed now stands at 14.7 million people. That number was revised downward 358,000 by a government technique used to classify those unemployed for more than twelve months as discouraged workers.
I am one of those workers, but I do not consider myself a discouraged worker as much as an abandoned worker. I have four resumes, (…) -
Robbed of truth?

In Stolen a camel is chosen, dragged bellowing toward a truck, seen travelling many miles with a quirky expression on its likeable, nose-wriggling face, then later by moonlight, shrieking and hooting, its throat cut, gushes its blood towards Mecca in accordance with the provisions of the Law. After this we see dancing and ululating veiled black women at a reunion party in which the camel, drained of its blood, is roasted and eaten in the first such feast in the village in 30 (…)
