The inter-Palestinian war of words and the mutual violations of the freedom of press and expression by the Hamas - led government of Ismael Haniyyeh in the Gaza Strip and the Fatah – led government of Salam Fayyad in the West Bank have presented Israel with its biggest propaganda prize that is overshadowing the violations of human rights committed by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT).

Censored by Fox for political reasons?
18 September 2007Sally Field: Censored by Fox for political reasons?
Controversy is brewing online over whether Fox TV (owned by the politically conservative Rupert Murdoch) censored Sally Field during her Emmy acceptance speech Sunday night for an obscene word or because she was making an anti-war statement.
Field, who is no stranger to unusual acceptance speeches, said: ""If mothers ruled the world, there wouldn’t be any god ... " when the sound was cut off and the camera cut to other shots from the (…) -

It Is The Death of History
by Robert Fisk
2,000-year-old Sumerian cities torn apart and plundered by robbers. The very walls of the mighty Ur of the Chaldees cracking under the strain of massive troop movements, the privatisation of looting as landlords buy up the remaining sites of ancient Mesopotamia to strip them of their artefacts and wealth. The near total destruction of Iraq’s historic past - the very cradle of human (…) -

Yesterday, nearly 100,000 people — led by anti-war Iraq veterans, military families and others — marched from the White House to the Capitol in Washington, D.C. to demand an immediate end to the occupation of Iraq. The march concluded with a dramatic "die-in" of 5,000 people surrounding the Capitol. Almost 200 (…) -
Update from Syria: After IDF bombing
17 September 2007SYRIA’S SMOKING GUN by Trish Schuh DEIR EZ ZOR, Syria- On a bridge over the Euphrates River at sundown, neighboring mosques weave a chorus calling Muslims to prayer. This destitute, ramshackle oil town on Iraq’s desert frontier seems calm, despite Israel’s recent raid on a military base outside the city to destroy "Syria’s nuclear program."
The Qamishli-Deir Ez Zor highway, alleged by Israel to be a weapons route for Iraqi insurgents, was also quiet, and there were no heavy (…) -
SUCH CHARMING FELLOWS
17 September 2007CHARMING FELLOWS
By Peter Fredson September 17, 2007
What did O.J. Simpson, Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Daumer, and George W. Bush have in common? They were charming narcissist sociopaths. They were dead certain that they were above the law, and that they could do whatever they pleased without restraint. They were people that you might like to sit down to share a drink or joke with. They had nice smiles and could charm people into getting closer to them.
They had no compunction about niceties (…) -
The disgraced ABC consultant and the push for war in Iran
17 September 2007The disgraced ABC consultant and the push for war in Iran
Attytood.com – September 13, 2007
There’s a huge new media scandal breaking this morning, and the headline so far — that a much-used consultant to ABC News published a phony interview with Barak Obama — may well be the tip of the proverbial iceberg. The news about now ex-ABC consultant Alexis Debat (left) is just dribbling out, but I’m surprised people haven’t been connecting the dots. This post will seek to connect a couple of (…) -
Under the Hammer
16 September 2007Under the Hammer By David Glenn Cox
Through serendipity I received the other day in the mail a four page color brochure. Online Auction Due To Plant Closure, 2 Day Auction of Over 700 Lots of Textile & Plant Support Equipment. I thought it odd that I should receive it in the mail but maybe someone thought I might be in the market to open my own textile mill or perhaps like the outsourcing companies they have to post the jobs locally first.
