Peek a Boo
8 July 2007We hold our hands in front of our faces and tell an infant, “Peek a boo!” Then we put our hands back in front of our face and ask, “Where’s the baby?” From the earliest days of life we are thus trained that some how out of sight equals out of mind. But just like in the childish game we are startled when it comes back and says again, peek a boo.
Perhaps it is just an evolutionary flaw, a hole in our intelligence that only rears it’s head from time to time. Slowing, but not eliminating human (…) -

A Belgian Intellectual
When a practicing theoretical physicist turns his attention to politics, picking up the progressive flag, political types should pay attention. Jean Bricmont, of the Catholic University of Louvain, is not only a prolific researcher in his profession but goes well beyond, writing about everything from the philosophy of science ("Determinism, Chaos, and Quantum Mechanics," PDF) to culture (Fashionable Nonsense), to politics — his latest being (…) -

8 July 2007Hillary’s Bizarre History of the Iraq War Blame the Puppet
By SAUL LANDAU
Hillary Clinton blamed the Iraqi government for failure to make progress. "The American military has succeeded," she declared to a stunned public. "They got rid of Saddam Hussein, they gave the Iraqis a chance for free and fair elections. It is the Iraqi government which has failed to make the tough decisions that are important for their own people," she said, unable to finish her sentence because of a chorus of (…) -
Cheney “Fixes” Libby, Cons America and Thwarts Justice
8 July 2007“It is time to remove [Vice President Dick Cheney] from office.” - Rep. Jim McDermott (D-WA)
Eureka Springs, Arkansas - Lewis “Scooter” Libby is not going to a federal prison for 30 months, or even for one day. His boss, Vice President Dick Cheney, made sure of that. U.S. District Court Judge, the Hon. Reggie B. Walton, had ruled that the Neocon, a crony of another prime architect of the Iraqi War, Paul Wolfowitz, deserved serious jail time for lying to a Grand Jury and the FBI. (1) The (…) -

8 July 2007News Flash: Chemical Weapon Terrorist Plot Thwarted in the UK! Written by Chris Floyd Wednesday, 04 July 2007
British authorities thwarted a plot by UK-born extremists – including a medical professional – to manufacture chemical bombs to be used in fomenting a “civil war” between Muslims and Christians in the UK, the Guardian reports, and the alleged perpetrators are now on trial.
But why are we telling you this? Surely, it’s been splashed 24-7 across CNN and Fox News. You have doubtless (…) -
Helpful Training Video for Glasgow Fire Brigade
8 July 2007Seeing as the Glasgow Fire Brigade was so clumsy (deliberately? god forbid!) in putting out the recent Glasgow Airport blaze with water hoses (petrol and water don’t mix and using water hoses only spreads a fire) here’s a useful video from Mendocino County on how to put out a fire from a propane tank.
The latest BBC propaganda is about what a brave lot of lads they were to prevent explosions and the rest of the airport burning down. Yup, with three water hoses.
No mention that propane (…) -

8 July 2007Libby and Vanunu On the day Libby’s prison sentence was lifted, Mordechai Vanunu was sentenced to prison, again, in Israel
By Dr. Daniel Ellsberg
Global Research, July 6, 2007
On the day that Scooter Libby’s prison sentence was lifted by President Bush, Mordechai Vanunu was sentenced to prison, again, in Israel. In both cases, the underlying offense was the same: speaking to journalists. In each case, the nominal charges were otherwise. For Libby, lying under oath about the (…) -
