I saw "Baghdad ER" on HBO last night (Sunday, May 21). I’d heard that the Defense Dept. had issued warnings urging servicemen and women back from Iraq to be wary of watching as it might trigger PTSD symptoms. Perhaps they hoped those about to go wouldn’t watch as well, for fear they might not show up.
"Baghdad ER" is a documentary about a "CASH," a Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad. I recommend it for every American, but the queasy be warned: it is excruciating. I cringed at the gore, (…)

Ka-Blam!, Ka-Boom! Gunshots rang out today in the Congress’ parking lot and all Hell broke loose!
Panic and turmoil! People running helter skelter, mass confusion and CNN right there on the scene.
For the next 4 hours CNN dutifully reported on this high priority story. It seems some unidentified man fired a gun somewhere,at someone or something for some reason. CNN managed to tell us that much at least.

Now that everyone recognizes what I first said last September - that Democrats have a real chance of taking back control of the U.S. House of Representatives this Fall - it’s time for Democrats to start acting like winners.
