Fearful White Australia permits 2,500 US Marines to be based in Darwin, NT

US lackey Australia recently announced during the visit to Australia of US President Obama that 2,500 US Marines will be indefinitely based in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia, and that there will be increased use of Australia by the US Navy and the US Air Force.

Decent anti-war Australians are appalled at this cementing of Australian association with genocidal US state terrorism just as the US Alliance is about to leave Iraq (4.6 million war-related deaths, 1990-2011) and is adumbrating withdrawal from Afghanistan (5.6 million war-related deaths, 2001-2011). Yet about 50% of Australians support this permanent Occupation of Australia by child-killing US Marines because of deep-seated, race-based fears of Asian military threats.

For all that Australians vehemently declare that they are not racist, a deep-seated fear of non-Europeans gave rise to the 1901-1974 White Australia Policy that excluded non-Europeans from Australia. Indeed Australia’s first Prime Minister Edmund Barton (1901) debating the Commonwealth Immigration Restriction Bill (1901) (the “official” name of the White Australia Policy) stated “The doctrine of the equality of man was never intended to apply to the equality of an Englishman and the Chinaman.” [1].

This position was echoed half a century later by the Labor Immigration Minister and later Labor leader Arthur Calwell who offensively joked in a speech to Federal Parliament (1947) “There are many Wongs in the Chinese community, but I have to say - and I am sure that the honourable member for Balaclava [T.W. White, Liberal] will not mind me for doing so - that “two Wongs do not make a White.”” [1].

Jump a further 40 years and this is what Australian Federal MP Pauline Hanson (One Nation Party) in her maiden speech to the Australian Federal Parliament (1996) stated : “Immigration and multiculturalism are issues that this government is trying to address, but for far too long ordinary Australians have been kept out of any debate by the major parties. I and most Australians want our immigration policy radically reviewed and that of multiculturalism abolished. I believe we are in danger of being swamped by Asians. Between 1984 and 1995, 40 % of all migrants coming into this country were of Asian origin. They have their own culture and religion, form ghettos and do not assimilate. Of course, I will be called racist but, if I can invite whom I want into my home, then I should have the right to have a say in who comes into my country. A truly multicultural country can never be strong or united. The world is full of failed and tragic examples, ranging from Ireland to Bosnia to Africa and, closer to home, Papua New Guinea. America and Great Britain are currently paying the price. Arthur Calwell was a great Australian and Labor leader, and it is a pity that there are not men of his stature sitting on the opposition benches today. Arthur Calwell said “Japan, India, Burma, Ceylon and every new African nation are fiercely anti-white and anti-one another. Do we want or need any of these people here? I am one red-blooded Australian who says no and who speaks for 90 % of Australians.” I have no hesitation in echoing the words of Arthur Calwell.”

The major parties (the Liberal Party-National Party Coalition and Labor, collectively known as the Lib-Labs) dissociated themselves from the anti-Asian rhetoric of Pauline Hanson but embarked over the last 15 years in a process of thinly-veiled politically correct racism referred to as “dog-whistling” (saying things that are formally politically correct and non-racist but which have a readily understood racist sub-text) .

Thus refugees fleeing US and Israeli state terrorism and reaching Australia by boat were stigmatized as “queue jumpers” who were “violating Australia’s borders”. This cryptic anti-Asian sentiment was reinforced by anti-Arab and Islamophobic sentiment that became publicly acceptable after the 9/11 atrocity (for which the US is almost certainly responsible) and world-wide US- and Zionist-promoted anti-Muslim bigotry. In the past year the Australian Labor Government tried to outdo the Libs by the explicit racism of excluding Afghan and Tamil refugees from the protection of the 1975 Racial Discrimination Act. Currently White Australia is abusively imprisoning about 400 refugee children and 100 Indonesian children who had been boat crew on asylum-seeker boats.

Back in 1907 the then Australian PM Alfred Deakin had invited the US Great White Fleet of 16 white-painted warships to visit Australia during its tour of the world in 1907-1909. Deakin was fearful of the Japanese who had just defeated the Russian Navy. White Australians, living so far from Mother England, were fearful of the Russians well as of the Japanese, and greeted the US Great White Fleet enthusiastically. PM Alfred Deakin and offered the following opinion: in the usual racist terms (1908): “The visit of the United States fleet is universally popular here, not so much because of our blood affection for the Americans... but because of our distrust of the yellow race in the North Pacific ...” [2].

The so-called “Yellow Peril” (China, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia) has become part of Australian language and culture but after the US defeat of the Japanese and Communist accession to power in China the “Yellow Peril” in Australia chiefly referred to the Chinese.

Notwithstanding the extraordinary historical propensity of the Chinese to “stay at home” and to not engage in foreign wars, Australia’s participation in the Korean War and the Vietnam War was in part justified by the “Domino Theory” applied to the “Yellow Peril” (i.e. They will, like Japan, conquer one country after another and then reach Australia). A new enemy was added after the fall of Soviet Communism, namely the Muslims, and the “threat” from China diminished as it became a major trading partner of Australia. However the US is now trying to ramp up the “China threat”.

War is the ultimate expression of racism and Australia participated in all post-1950 US wars, wars that have been associated with about 38 million Asian war-related deaths, these being the sum of violent deaths and non-violent avoidable deaths from war-imposed deprivation. Thus violent Asian deaths in these post-1950 US Asian wars totaled 13.4 million, the breakdown being 4.2 million (Korea, 1950-1953), 0.1 million (Laos, 1955-1975), 2.0 million (Cambodia, 1965-1980), 4 million (Vietnam, 1960-1975), 1.7 million (Iraq, 1990-2011) and 1.4 million (Afghanistan, 2001-2011). Asian avoidable deaths in these post-1950 US Asian wars from war-imposed deprivation totaled 25.0 million, the breakdown being 1.0 million (Korea, 1950-1953), 1.1 million (Laos, 1955-1975), 3.9 million (Cambodia, 1965-1998), 11.9 million (Vietnam, 1960-1975), 2.9 million (Iraq, 1990-2011) and 4.2 million (Afghanistan, 2001-2011).

None of these distant Asian countries posed any threat to Australia and fundamentally Australia only joined in these US wars on the immoral “insurance policy” basis that the US might help us if we were actually threatened by Asian invasion (as in 1941) . Now the “threat” from China has re-emerged because of China’s growing economic power at the expense of a debt-crippled United States. On his recent trip to Australia, President Obama justified the basing of massive US forces in Australia as follows: “The United States is a Pacific power and we are here to stay.” [3].

Australia is “politically correct” racist (PC racist) because while Australians vehemently deny being racist, Australia has been involved in 24 genocidal atrocities of which 10 are ongoing but almost completely ignored by ignored by Mainstream Australian media, politicians, academics and other public figures. People in the public eye are mostly very “politically correct” but horribly racist views from the past are implicitly endorsed by putting images of the responsible racists on Australia’s currency and naming Australian streets, suburbs and universities after the racists (notably grossly racist PMs Edmund Barton and Alfred Deakin and grossly racist poets Henry Lawson and Banjo Patterson).

Further, after the US Australia is the world’s strongest supporter of race-based, genocidal, war criminal, nuclear terrorist Apartheid Israel (just as it was one of the strongest supporters of Apartheid Israel-backed Apartheid South Africa) and thus official Australian professions of anti-racism simply don’t wash when Australia consistently backs US support for Apartheid Israel at the UN; ignores the horrendous reality of the ongoing Palestinian Genocide (7 million Palestinian refugees and 0.1 million violent deaths, 1.4 million avoidable deaths from war- and occupation-imposed deprivation); initially refused to sign the UN Declaration on Indigenous Rights; repeatedly boycotted the UN Durban I, II and III anti-racism conferences over the issue of world criticism genocidal Israeli racism; recently voted against inclusion in UNESCO of Palestine, a country with a civilization as old as the history of Fertile Crescent (see Jared Diamond’s “Guns, Germs and Steel” ) [4]; and while donations to the Jewish National Fund (and hence towards the Palestinian Genocide) are tax deductible in Australia, under Australia’s draconian anti-terrorism laws that are anti-Arab anti-Semitic and Islamophobic in practice, humanitarian donations to internally Hamas-administered Gaza could conceivably attract up to life imprisonment.

The evil, anti-Asian racism of Zionism founder Theodor Herzl in 1896, for example “We should there [Palestine] form a portion of a rampart of Europe against Asia, an outpost of civilization as opposed to barbarism”, was echoed by comments of the Israeli Ambassador to pro-Zionist, racist White Australia in 2006 : “Israel and Australia are like sisters in Asia. We are in Asia without the characteristics of Asians. We don’t have yellow skin and slanted eyes. Asia is basically the yellow race. Australia and Israel are not - we are basically the white race. We are on the western side of Asia and they are on the southeastern side. Israel has not fully acknowledged the value of working together with Australia in Asia. It’s a way for us to cooperate with and enhance our position in the countries neighboring Australia.” [5].

Decent people abhor racism, abhor war as the ultimate expression of racism, and are horrified by the endless sequence of bloody wars and occupations imposed on the world by US state terrorism in the post-1945 era (for a detailed account read William Blum’s “Rogue State” [6] ). It has been estimated that in the period 1950-2005 avoidable deaths from deprivation in countries occupied by the US in the post-1945 era totaled 82 million (see my book “Body Count. Global avoidable mortality since 1950” [7] ). However US restoration of the Taliban-destroyed opium industry in Afghanistan (a policy designed to get Afghan warlord support and to devastatingly destabilize Iran and Russia) has had the consequences of killing 1.1 million people globally from US-backed Afghan opiates, this including 200,000 Americans, 3,600 Australians and 18,000 Brits. The following letter was sent recently (17 November 2011) to Australian MPs and media but the Silence has been Deafening:

LETTER: “Dear etc,

According to NSW Health, “In 2006, there were 132 opiate-related deaths in NSW”, this translating to 132 x 22 million /7.3 million = 398 annual opiate-related deaths for Australia and 398 x 0.9 x 10 = 3,580 or about 3,600 opiate-related Australian deaths due to US restoration of the Taliban-destroyed Afghan opium industry to 90% of world market share.

According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UN ODC), "the United States saw 38,400 deaths from illicit drug use in 2006, corresponding to a drug-related mortality rate of 182 deaths per one million inhabitants aged 15-64". 60% of these are due to opiates and of opiate-related deaths 90% are due to US restoration of the Taliban-destroyed Afghan opium industry to about 90% of world market share i.e. 0.6 x 0.9 x 38,400 = 20,740 yearly and 207,000 US opiate drug deaths since October 2001 due to US war policy.

Obama has been complicit in the opiate-related deaths of 207,000 Americans and 3,600 Australians and in the war-related deaths of 9 million Muslims so far in the War on Terror (Google Muslim Holocaust, Muslim Genocide). Australia should dissociate itself from US state terrorism.

Conclusions.

Decent people should be outraged because the US through its support for Afghan opium has killed 3,600 Australians (and 200,000 Americans) since 9/11.

Decent Labor voters will simply vote 1 Green and put Labor last. Around the world decent people are applying Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Apartheid Israel and its supporters, of which the greatest after the US is the genocidal, pro-war, pro-Apartheid Israel state of White Australia.
