‘Frankenstein and Al Qaeda’ is the title of a book authored by Toni Paone an Italian teacher and sociologist. He has researched Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and discovered three dates associated with Al Qaeda attacks and dates in Shelley’s book. His research published in 2010 is that Zawahiri is the master mind behind using the sci fi novel Frankenstein as a guide for attacks in major capitols beginning with Sept. 11, 2001.

Toni maintains that the Koran could not be used because it is a sacred book and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein was substituted. Frankenstein was a common label for religious extremists used by leaders and the media since Gandhi and the separation of Pakistan and more recently the death in Pakistan of Benazir Bhutto . The novel published in 1818 is central to Paone’s investigation along with dates of letters listed prominently in the book.

I was able to create a list of 14 attacks corresponding to approximately 15 dates of letters listed in the book. They include the major attacks attributed to Al Qaeda in capital cities of major countries. The attacks occur in waves over a ten year period and suggests more than coincidence. Some of the dates were used more than once but there was one date that had not been used and offered a validation of Paone’s theory.

The Koran owes its existence to the Archangel that recited the bible for the benefit of Islam. In Shelley’s novel is one date that was not used for an attack and is different from the others ‘March 28 Archangel‘. I was so convinced in this aberration that I thought it was safe to publish an article on Bellaciao on March 28 on the subject of Frankenstein. I was wrong, within hours of the article being posted there was an attack on the Capital of Russia, Moscow. It proved to me that Zawahiri or any religious fundamentalist group was not using Shelley’s Frankenstein and because all the dates had been used associated with the book it was all just coincidence.

Today, I can demonstrate how easy it is to connect dates with attacks attributed to the “Osama Bin Laden of Russia” and dates of articles I post on Bellaciao. In three years I published three articles on Frankenstein posted on Bellaciao; 1. “Frankenstein in Afghanistan made in Egypt” November 26, 2009 attack Moscow Nevsky Express November 27 2. “From Frankenstein to the Temple Mount” March 28, 2010 Moscow airport attack starts March 28 ends March 29 it is March 28 Eastern Standard Time in US. 3 “Pakistan Egypt Frankenstein Matters“ Jan. 22 Bellaciao, Moscow airport attack Jan. 24 2011. The articles precede the dates of three attacks over three years in Russia within a day plus or minus.

The three attacks are attributed to “the Osama Bin Laden of Russia” but he and others are killed according to Russia on March 28 a year after the attack on Moscow ,a date symbolized by the sacred Archangel of Abrahamic religions in Shelley’s Frankenstein. In this narrative Vladimir Putin is a superhero.

I googled Putin and Al Qaeda and the first site I checked concerned Litvinenco an ex Russian intelligence official and his attempt to tell the world that Putin and Zawahiri formed an alliance circa 1997. The article concerning the death of the Russian agent in London, gave a motive, precedent and opportunity for Putin to benefit from the use of terror in Russia and other countries.

Putin has achieved his power through the use of the iron fist and hero worship for his handling of the Muslims of Chechyna this is his political capital. From 2001 to the present Putin has gained the most in the post Afghanistan-Russian era. It was Putin’s intelligence agencies that picked March 28 to eliminate the “Osama Bin Laden of Russia” and benefit from the symbolism inherent in Paone’s Frankenstein Al Qaeda. Ironically if Litvinenco’s claim that Zawahiri was an agent for Putin then Paone’s theory could be tweaked to include a Putin super-hero rather than a religious fundamentalist behind the Frankenstein symbolism.
