Nancy Pelosi is on her way to Lebanon, but her staff may want to get her on the phone. Or then again, maybe not. There is a sit-in underway in her Capitol Hill office today, Friday, March 30th, with military families and Iraq vets requesting to schedule an appointment to talk to her.
They’ve been asking for four months now for her to agree to meet with gold star and military families, veterans for peace, Iraq vets, and active duty troops. Pelosi proposed a meeting with (…)

“Several topics of interest. Let’s discuss the recent rash of outbreaks in the food chain. Mad Cow disease, Ecoli outbreaks in fresh spinach, Ecoli at east coast Taco Bells’s and an Olive Garden in the Midwest and finally, the great Pet Food die off. First off, there is Mad Cow in the United States. The Department of Agriculture is well aware of it. The Secretary issued dozens of calming statements when they found one (…) -

Why America Keeps Losing Wars
31 March 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentIn the U.S.A.’s foolish plunge into an 1964-1972 Indo-China war, the U.S. forces won the battles, but lost the war for no more relevant reason than choosing that war. The War in Iraq which Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher foisted upon a credulous President George H.W. Bush, was much less a disaster, only because George H.W. Bush was wisely advised not to go deeper into Iraq. But, after the end of that war, Europe and the U.S.A. (both) promptly entered and lost the Balkan Wars which never (…)

3 commentsPromised a larger piece of Middle East spoils down the road, more than 40 major international banks and financial institutions have publicly signed on either to cut off or cut back business with the Iranian government or private sector as a result of a quiet campaign launched by the Treasury and State departments last September, according to Treasury and State officials.
According to U.S. officials, the financial squeeze has seriously crimped Tehran’s ability to finance petroleum (…) -

The Britons were being taken to the capital for questioning, Iranian media reported much in the same the Americans and Brits have been hauling off Iranians who actually live in the region and have strong ties to elements in Iraq.

The "War" That Isn’t

Bush and the Congress call it a war, don’t they?...but in war aren’t we supposed to be fighting a uniformed foe? The only uniforms I see in Iraq are Police and Security Forces, and "most" of the time we don’t fight them, even if they do take the occasional pot shot at us when we’re not looking, and/or spill the beans to various opposition forces about US positions and plans.
Just who ARE we fighting? What are "Insurgents"?, rag-tag, barefooted teens with Kalichnikovs?, angry young (…) -

When the BBC reports the fall of Building 7 23 minutes before it happens you know this is not a "cock-up" but a whistle blowing loud and clear from inside the loop.
Just ask yourself the simplest questions. Is the BBC the National Enquirer? Has it ever happened before? How could it happen? Talk about the nose on your face. Could it be any plainer?
