That was three months before the fateful Gulf of Tonkin Resolution gave him congressional authorization for military action in Southeast Asia without needing a formal declaration of (…)

Newsmax.com reports that James Carville the political has been stated that Democrats should fire Howard Dean as the chair of the Democratic National Committee. In the most laughable statement he likens Howard Dean to that of Donald Rumseld when he said, "I think he should be held accountable. I would describe his leadership as Rumsfeldian in its competence.”
Unlike Rumsfeld, Dean’s (…) -

6 commentsDear Disillusioned Misled Email List,
We did it! We won at least 29 House seats and took the majority. We won 6 Senate seats and took back the Senate too, not to mention 28 Governors and several more statehouses. We had incredible turnout of Democratic voters across the country. Thanks to you, we had a vigorous election protection program in place to fight those who would restrict our right to vote. We ran a positive campaign on the issues that really matter to American voters.

1 commentTo Bush, McCain and Olmert: The Congo Cries Out and all of you remain silent By Mary MacElveen November 14, 2006
The lesson for the GOP to take from last week’s election results in which they lost majority rule in both houses is that the American people saw through the deceit in using our military to fight an immoral war in Iraq. If we are to gain respect world-wide, it would be to stand up to brutal acts that continue to this day.
No, I am not speaking of Iran. In fact I think some (…) -

The political firmament shook briefly post-November 7 raising hopes change would follow the Republican’s drubbing at the polls and the Democrats regaining control of both houses of Congress for the first time since the GOP sweep in 1994. Presumed new House speaker Nancy Pelosi stopped the tremors making it clear no substantive change will be on the table when when the 110th Congress convenes on January 3. Instead, she announced to those paying (…) -

Arabs, at least at the non-official level, were quick to hail President George W. Bush’s mid-term electoral defeat and the humiliating downfall of his war architect Donald Rumsfeld, but cheering the Democrats’ victory has yet to wait and may not be voiced at all.
Why hailing Bush’s defeat? Pulitzer Prize-winning syndicated columnist, Jim Hogland, of The Washington Post had part of the answer: “Bush lost more than a midterm election and a cantankerous defense secretary (…) -
