Home > Voted For Mitt Romney Today
Thanks to the New York State Board of Elections’ online system for ’Diaspora’ or Americans living abroad, I was able to cast my vote for the best man for the job today. My ballot for President, Senate and the House of Representatives is now winging its way back to New York.
I’ve lived in the UK since July 1989 and in my opinion this is the most important Federal election since 1988. I’ve been a Democrat since 1980 when I first voted. Today, I voted a straight up and down Republican ticket.
After four years of Hope and Change that quickly gave way to desperation and acceptance, America is both financially and morally bankrupt.
The man in charge, Barry Soetoro (AKA Barack Hussein Obama) doesn’t have a plan.
So I have cast my vote for the only man who I think can unseat the current President and turn the country around, before it’s too late.
When I was deciding how I might vote I considered the following:
The worst thing that the Democrats can say about Mitt Romney is that he’s rich and that he’s only paid 13-14% tax. That just made me envious of him, but it didn’t cause me not to trust him. I see him as an honest, hard working family man.
On the other hand, the current President came to power talking about transparency. He spoke about telling the truth and then he spent millions of dollars preventing anyone from accessing his records. He produced a fabricated birth certificate and presented it to the world through the White House website. He continues to refuse to allow anyone to have access to his university records, his writings from Harvard (if there are any) or his records from Occidental College and I believe that the only people who don’t want to disclose the truth are people with something to hide. (Now where have I heard that before?)
Was the current President born in the United States? Is he a Natural Born Citizen? I don’t know and the President refuses to allow anyone to find out for sure.
Mitt Romney is on both counts.
