The deliberate obfuscation of permanent bases in Iraq by the US and UK governments illustrates the myth of "freedom of information." Many of the US bases in Iraq already have, or are now building, facilities which will keep the US government - if not the Iraqi people - happy for the foreseeable future.
US Bases in Iraq will be a researched study of the (…) -
Australia funded Saddam & insurgency, US, UK intelligence KNEW - did Bush & Blair KNOW & BETRAY?
27 April 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsAustralia funded Saddam Hussein and thence the Iraqi insurgency to the tune of US$250 MILLION via a wheat sale kickback scam by monopoly company AWB (Australian Wheat Board). However despite the fact that everybody else involved, including Australian Intelligence, knew about the Iraqi kickback system, the Australian Government STILL denies having known. According to Opposition Leader Kim Beazley (a longstanding, loyal friend of America but opposed to the Iraq War): "I’m embarrassed as an (…)

White Man Who Speaks with Forked-Tongue

4 commentsYou would think from the apparently conflicting news reports that there is a deep division in the Blair cabinet as there appears to be in Washington about whether or not to conduct a military strike against Iran. In an interview last Sunday, Blair assured us that British forces would not be involved in such an attack. But questioned in parliament a few days later he gave Bush support for an attack. Giving him support, of course, is not the same thing as involving UK troops. And not involving (…)

People ask: Can this be happening in Britain? Surely not. A centuries-old democratic constitution cannot be swept away. Basic human rights cannot be made abstract Those who once comforted themselves that a Labour government would never commit such an epic crime in Iraq might now abandon a last delusion, that their freedom is inviolable. If they knew.

Memo to PM: Action speaks louder than Words
17 April 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsArtful Dodger, Tony Blair, would like us to believe that he does not support the neocon madmen’s intention to attack, let alone nuke, Iran. An article in The Scotsman claims government sources saying that Blair has informed Bush that Britain "cannot offer military support to any strike on Iran, regardless of whether the move wins the backing of the international community."
"We will support the diplomatic moves, at best," a Foreign Office source told Scotland on Sunday. "But we cannot (…)
