To: George W. Bush
From: SGT Kevin M. Benderman
When are you going to tell the truth to the people of the United States?
Why don’t you tell them why you want to be in Iraq so bad?
I was there for six months and I did not see the first weapon of mass destruction. I did receive orders from the company commander to shoot children if they threw small rocks at us and that was when I figured out that the entire thing was way over the line.
Over 1200 soldiers have died in Iraq so that you can have a couple billion more dollars, that should make you feel very good about yourself.
The soldiers that have died for this sham that you have put over on the American people are so much more deserving than that. You are not worth the dust off of their boots.
If you truly had respect for the military and the people that serve then you would not continue to kill them in your war.
I joined the Army to protect my country and not to be a mercenary for a political despot.
If you wish to put me in prison because of my views then you should make room for about 75% of the military.
And while you are at make some room for yourself and about half of your administration. You are responsible for what happened at Abu Gharaib and you are shirking your responsibility.
The commander in chief is not above the UCMJ, as you would like to believe.
I want to fulfill my contract that says I joined the Army to protect my country against all enemies foreign and domestic, and as far as I am concerned you are a domestic enemy of the United States.
You care nothing for this country; you just care about the profits that are to be made from the oil in Iraq. That much is evident to me from the way the contracts were passed out to Halliburton and KBR. It must be nice to have the deck stacked in your favor by the president of the USA.
Since your are raising the debt ceiling of America so that we can pay the bills that you have run up, why don’t you forgive the debts of every one in the armed forces since they are the ones that are making it possible for you to make billions from the oil from Iraq.
Sincerely,
SGT Kevin M. Benderman

Well said, Sgt! 75% of the military against the war? Great news...makes me wonder what would happen if those 75% refused to fight for a month or two. This Bush characrter needs to be mutinied against, ASAP. Peace
Lily

Here’s another great article from Sgt. Kevin Benderman
" Right to Life
Iraqis have it, too"
"I have come to the conclusion that the Creator does not want us to fight wars or to leave our brothers to die in hunger or disease, for we have been given the things we need to provide all men on the planet what they need to get by with in the world."
"Do we want our grandkids to learn the "art" of war? Should we teach them to throw hand grenades and learn how to shoot the center mass of human beings in order to kill them? Or should we be teaching them to hit home runs and catch fly balls?"

I too do not believe that old lie: "Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori." A line from Horace at about 50bc professing the glory of war. There was a time in the U.S. when this line was feared and dreaded: it was seen as a sign that propoganda had become too powerful for its own good, deluding people into believeing that the ultimate sacrifice was the best sacrifice. I can only hope that our soldiers begin to question their morality as you have. But know that you are not alone in history. Take heart: here is a poem by Wilfred Owen, using that specific line from eras past. I hope that some on here remember it for the future.
DULCE ET DECORUM EST
Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,
Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge,
Till on the haunting flares we turned our backs
And towards our distant rest began to trudge.
Men marched asleep. Many had lost their boots
But limped on, blood-shod. All went lame; all blind;
Drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots
Of tired, outstripped Five-Nines that dropped behind.
•
Gas! Gas! Quick, boys! - An ecstasy of fumbling,
Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time;
But someone still was yelling out and stumbling,
And flound’ring like a man in fire or lime . . .
Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.
In all my dreams, before my helpless sight,
He plunges at me, guttering, choking, drowning.
•
If in some smothering dreams you too could pace
Behind the wagon that we flung him in,
And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,
His hanging face, like a devil’s sick of sin;
If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood
Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,
Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud
Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues,
My friend, you would not tell with such high zest
To children ardent for some desperate glory,
The old Lie; Dulce et Decorum est
Pro patria mori.

Good for you. Stand up for your convictions. Don’t let them tear you down. Lives are precious, no matter who they are. Our administration believes they are above the law, and apparently believe they have the ’Devine Right’, to do what they want. I had high hopes for some of our senators and representatives, but too many don’t want to rock the boat.
Senator Barbara Boxer is asking people to sign her petition. The petition ask if people want Senator Boxer, to ask Dr. Rice, some of the questions we have all been asking for the last couple of years, at Rice’s confirmation, as Secretary of State. Such questions as why we pulled troops from Afghanstan and bin laden to go to Iraq, and those infamous ’weapons of mass destruction’.
PAC for a Change (info@pacforachange.com), try this address. The hearings starts on Tuesday, January 18th, so Senator Boxer needs all the signatures she can get before it starts.
Come on, people, let’s put Rice Pudding on the HOT SEAT for a change!!

Kudos to you, Benderman. Stand and fight! Many citizens are behind you and the time is close for the military men and women to REFUSE ORDERS TO FIGHT!
Let them jail them all. It’s time for the military to stand up to the dictator, the falsely elected Geaorge W (WAR) Bush. That’s right. The W stands for WAR.
He’s the war president and proud of it. We, the American people, and the military, WHO ARE SWORN TO DEFEND US, need to tell the administration what we think of their war - Unjustified, undiginified, misguided, malignant and immoral. STOP THE WAR. OUT NOW!
The elections in Iraq are a sham. They cannot and will not produce a consensus of the Iraqi people because the counting will be done by the US and their hired lackeys. The refusal by the administration to delay the elections is improper because there is no security. The ’insurgents" (these people are fighting for their sovergnty, their nation - Iraq, against the occupiers - US! and they should be rightfully called "the resistance" or "freedom fighters") will make election day in Iraq a bloodbath. Many wil die trying to vote, if they vote at all. The administration knows this and will allow more bloodshed only to give them justification to continue to ravage the country.
The war is wrong, the war is immoral. Troops, refuse orders! Citizens of America, stand up and fight!

Its time to IMPEACH George W. Bush and Dick Chaney.
Write letters to your Congressmen and the White House (cc:) requesting both be impeached for War Crimes and lying to Americans ..... about everything.
For message sending to your Congressman made easy start with .......
a) Access the "Progessive Democrats of America" web site.... home page.
b) After entering the home page click on "Action Alerts" to find the email address for your Congressmen and the White House ....
c) Next page find "Congress and President" w/blank space and fill in a zip code ... then click on it....
d) Next page .... under "Write Your Elected Officals" click on "Federal" ... up will pop the White House and all your Congressmen .... to write all of them at once .... underneath fill in the blanks with your name, address and message .... then click send message
e) Now .... on Microsoft screen up in left hand corner click on the "Back" button to the page where you enter "your" zip code ..... then start over with a different "new zip code" to send more multiple messages to different congressmen outside of your home district and/or city, state just find the zip code for a city in Massachusetts, New York or California. A wonderful system that allows you to send directly to the congressmen fax machine.
FYI- a little Microsoft "cut and paste" routine on the message will speed up the multiple message process.
Start the email faxes and letters coming ...also, email friends and family requesting help ...... to all foreigners please join in with emails and/or letters ..... please help!!!!

Just remember..I think the only thing Bush wants is power to say it real nice. Every.. single.. decision he makes is to eventually bring down all including us. Think like the one under and all becomes clear. If you want a future for your kids fight the enemy within your own country. Bush is a joke and sheesh, snickers like a dunce and is just laughing his way to the bank at the cost of yous all. He needs a good spanking along with sending him and his to jail. Put him on a lie detector...I dare you Bush. Please wake up,stand up and fight, not overseas but here. He is playing purposeful chess and believe me he may checkmate the opponent but their may not be to many of us left on the table and frankly he doesn’t care, he has an agenda guys,A real ugly one. It is written and in May through Iran we are in deep you know what with the Chinese if we let him. First off he didn’t win the election no matter what the ’polls’ said.America isn’t that dumb and he knew it and they did what had to be done. Fight that! duh..

I read the call for support on the link by SGT Kevin M. Benderman’s wife. She mentioned attorneys looking into the legalities of this war. I like many others have been protesting and writing online to try and spread information but i feel it is ultimately useless. It is not enough. Too many of us are wandering aimlessly not sure what to do. We are prepared and willing to support action. Is there any true call for support from SGT Kevin M. Benderman? I am a member of a few message boards and could post info. We need unified action. To many are simply unsure what step to take. The people are ready. They are angry and frustrated and anxious to see change. If there is action being considered but waiting for support consider it supported.
