American Foreign Policy

by Open-Publishing - Thursday 7 October 2004

There must first be a world leader that inspires honesty, confidence, and respect, not only in the county he leads, but in himself first and foremost. For many years American set a standard the world followed. This is not the case today under the present leadership.
Not sure who made the following statement “Before one can lead, they must first learn how to follow” I agree 100% with the statement. A look back into our history shows that without any preference toward either political party this statement holds true.

I do not believe this administration has any real foreign policy, they seem to wing it with each new crises...it seems the world has not only observed this, they have take advantage of this intolerable situation i.e. the continued genocide of the Palestinians by Israel, at no time in our history has any sitting president ever endorsed one side over the other so openly. It seems that with each disastrous decision made by this administration, the more the world losses respect for us. This incompetence must stop! It does not matter which political party stops this freefall, the freefall into isolation and disaster must stop.
No country can survive as an island! We as Americans need each other without doubt however, we also need the people of the world with us both political, morally, and business.

We are the greatest country in the world, we must stop talking about our greatness, we must show not only the world, we must first prove it all over again to ourselves because the real meaning of greatness has been lost.

America cannot police the world! We can however by deed show the world what greatness really means and the directions they must take to achieve a better life.
