Wars and conflicts International USA

Dear Mrs. Cindy Sheehan

I am writing to you to express my sympathy for the loss of your son. As a father of couples of children, I know very well what it means to a mother to lose a son, and if that loss is for the welfare and benefits of humanity or not. Mr. Bush has raised war against Iraq for no legitimate reasons, since it was not backed by UN at its start. In the months that followed March 2003, it became clear to the world that the issue of weapons of mass destruction and relation with Al-Qaida are all false. Even Mr. Colin Powel has spoken recently that his “show” at the UN security council was a bad landmark. Therefore, any loss or damage incurred in that war is a great loss to whole of the world and only to Iraq or USA !.
You have all rights to mourn your son and ask why he was sent to death. At the same time, please do not forget the Iraqi mothers who have lost their sons and relatives by the USA invasion of Iraq. I would like to draw your attention that, according to a study published by the Lancet Journal (www.the lancet.com), the invasion has caused 100,000 extra deaths among Iraqis in the first 18 months. The following period witnessed much more deaths!. The majority of the war crimes committed by USA troops in Iraq are covered and the media were prevented from reporting them. To give an example of what is going on in Iraq, I have attached 3 sample files which show the suffering of Iraqi women, men and children.

1- The first photo shows a USA soldier acknowledging the crimes of killing and raping Iraqis !.
2- The second photo shows an Iraqi girl that has just lost her father who was shot dead in Tal-Afar town after USA troop opened fire at his car in which he was carrying his family. The shooting was deliberate as witnessed by the number of bullets fired on the car and its driver.
3- The third set of photos, show the case of an 8-month pregnant woman who was shot by USA troops on 12 Aug. 2005 in Mosul town, (www.iraqirabita.org). The bullet got to the chest of the embryo leaving him dead and the mother was severely wounded. A cesarean operation has saved her life, while that baby was the youngest martyr recorded during the invasion of Iraq.

I call upon you and every kind American to think and imagine the extent of terror Mr. Bush policies has brought to the people of USA and Iraq. I hereby ask you to continue your efforts to stop the war on Iraq in which Mr. Bush has killed from the Iraqis much more than Saddam did!. Moreover, Saddam did not kill any American but Mr Bosh did and is still doing unless we act to stop him.

  • Bush and Cheney have choosen to be absent in Washington DC this weekend, the weekend of the IMPEACH BUSH and his cabinet. They can hide but they will be found guilty. Those of you who have sold America down the drain, run and hide because the truth will be revealed.

  • There are many, many Americans who feel that we were led to war against our beliefs and principles based on lies. Fully half and probably more of the U.S. citizenry had no wish to initiate agression against Iraq, and we deeply regret the civilian deaths in Iraq that we have not been able to prevent.

Some how, some way, we must find our way out of your country. We do not believe that we own it nor do we wish to. It is yours, this is the simple truth.

At the same time, we are unwilling to unleash further violence within our own country. We seek a peaceful and lawful solution to this horror. We also wish for Iraq and her people to find a way to their own form of stable government, decided by Iraqis as it morally and ethically should be.

The most difficult truth is that, as a nation, we feel a deep sense of responsibility to the people of Iraq for the destabilization and damage that has been done by our government and those they have fooled with their lies. This same sense of responsibility is manipulated by those wishing to continue the disastrous course already taken in Iraq.

Somehow, we must make ammends for the damage done. Somehow, we must make it right both at home and with you, the Iraqi people.

This very weekend, many many thousands of American citizens are going to our nation’s capital, by bus, by car, by plane, and by every other means possible, to demand of our leaders that your country be returned to you to do as you will with it. Whether we will meet with any degree of success in this effort has yet to be seen. Pray that it is so, however you choose to do so.

If we can change enough hearts here at home, perhaps one day after you have your nation back, we can find some way to make ammends to the innocent civilians of Iraq without interfering in their choices for their own future.

Like any nation, we must face evil within our own population - and evil is always born out of misguided fear.

You the Peoples of Iraq have your own work to do. Every act of violence an Iraqi commits upon another Iraqi lends credibility to those who seek to keep the United States entrenched in Iraq. You must find a way to live with each other in peace and dignity, just as we must here at home ourselves.

Only once we each heal the differences between ourselves in our respective homelands will we ever be able to reconcile the divisions and wounds between our two nations.

At this moment, all we can say with certainty is that those of us who realize the mistakes our nation has made within your nation are sorry for your wounds as much as for our own.

May God, whatever His name may be, save us all from the results of the fear that has caused such grief.

  • I know this is a tremendously difficult subject in this topic. Somehow, some way, we must heal the wounds of our division and search our souls to find the kindness, compassion, and ethics that had been the hallmark of our nation. In the end, this is what all people of honor in our country truly long for. It is critical to the future of the entire world that we find a way to do so. We will never be able to accomplish this within the bounds of silence that seem walled between us. Even in anger this is what drives me to speak. In our heart of hearts, we all know this need. How will we ever satisfy it?

  • Cindy Sheehan is an idiot! Her son VOLUNTEERED to defend the USA, and this fool of a woman is being used by the queer, cowardly Michale Moore and company to advertise their hatred of George W. Bush - if you people don’t have the courage and fortitude to stand up to these Raghead Terriorists, then go and join them - in SYRIA!!!

    • This woman needs to go the hell home. She is dishonoring her son’s death and every other life of a sacrificed Soldier, Airman, Marine or Sailor who has lost their precious life in Iraq to bring freedom to the Iraqi people and to keep our borders safe so we don’t have to fight terrorist in the steets of the great nation of America. To see someone get on tv and draw all this attention to nag about war in order to protect us just makes me plan sick. These Anti-American people like Cindy Shithead oh I mean Sheehan need to move to Syria or Iran or some other terrorist country if they don’t think we need to face them head on in this post 9/11 world. THey all think we went in because of wmds that’s true in a way but we also went in to free the Iraqi people, and to remove Saddam for all his crimes against his people and going against the UN 17 times since 1991 and to remove a regime that is friendly to terrorist. She needs to go home and honor her son for his selfless sacrifice for this great nation. I can understand where she is coming from with her son dying because I have friends in the military, one possibly in Iraq and one that is soon to be more than likely going but if they die I will not protest like this I will honor there sacrifice in whatever way I can and still believe in the mission.

    • Bock Bock Bock....bock bock bock....I detect a chickenhawk........get your ass over to Iraq little man, you are needed as a slimy murdering grunt........bock bock bock.....you won’t go because you are a chickenshit.....you love any war that makes you feel tough from the comfort of your mommy’s basement.......you think war is just one big football game that you, fatty couch potato, can watch on t.v. and cheer for while you swill cheap beer and eat chips don’t you...yeah, I thought so. Go take care of your one tooth before it falls out too.

    • If you read this message, then you know what we are dealing with. Their comments are exactly what we are talking about. Keep talking and expose your hatred and ignorance, and thanks for the ammunition...idiot. Keep talking, keep blogging, it gives us great examples of how low you are.

    • For one I don’t love war like you say. I only support war when its needed to bring peace and remove tyrannts from power. And you say I won’t go because I’m a chicken shit, no because I’m in school. Once I finish college I will probably enlist. My mother doesn’t have a basement and I don’t drink beer so you don’t know what the hell your talking about. And I have a full set of real teeth but people like you should have all yours punched out. And war is not one big football game. People like you deserve to go to places like Iraq under Saddam or Cuba or Aghanistan under the taliban to realize how great you have it hear.

    • to the person who wrote the above thing if you read this blog i was wondering who are refering to about being low, the idiot talking about the one person being a chicken shit or the person whose blog is above that. which one are you talking about exposing hatred and ignorance and giving you ammo, just curious.

    • "You only love war when its needed to bring "peace" (they are opposite you know) and remove tyrants from power". That being so, you should join the anti Bush movement. Bush is a warmonger and a tyrant so according to you, you should be the first to want to see him go. You do have one thing in common with him though, you’re a liar. You will NEVER enlist, because like I said before you are a chickenshit.

    • Hey dude go easy on the guy. I am not saying Iraq war is right or wrong. But you call Bush a warmonger. What about Clinton he sent troops into Kosovo and Bosnia, also bombed Iraq a few times. Kennedy sent troops into Vietnam to start Vietnam war did you nag them like you are nagging Bush. I’m not saying the guy’s perfect but you can’t call him a warmonger unless you call all the presidents who have sent troops into combat that.

    • i never said i loved war. nobody does war is hell. i know war and peace are 2 different things. You can’t say that i’m a liar because everyone lies. but before i go farther i wanted to say i respect your opinion and am open to hear them but you keep saying that i say one thing when i say another. but i want to say though is if anyones a chicken shit its you because you are trying like i said trying to say that i say one thing but said another. but i leave with this quote(some qoute somebody told a friend) if you want peace prepare for war.

    • Correction: Eisenhower was the first president to send the military to Vietnam and get us involved in the Vietnam war....I don’t have time to give you a history lesson on Kennedy and his position it is available if you REALLY want to know the truth. As to Clinton, yes he commited war, one that lasted 2 weeks and not one American life was lost, I did not say I agreed with that either for the record. But the subject today is warmonger Bush and his oil war...try to stay on topic and not make excuses based on false "history"...wrong is wrong and making excuses for Bush is the media’s territory, they hardly need help from little bullshitters.

    • well first of all i wanted to think you for correcting me about eishenhower. i did not know that they never taught us that back in high school. i appreciate you telling me that. i will admit though that though i don’t agree with the complete strategy used in iraq, i agree with the small units for quickness but not the troop level. but like i said i respect your opinions as well as everyone elses don’t want know beef with ya. was just wanting to get a debate going between 2 different people with different political views so people who read this get both sides to think in what they really believe. if it is possible give me kennedy’s views because like i said they never taught us much about the presidents during nam and all that.

    • the people who read this would like to know who you are talking about when you say they are giving you ammunition and saying they are low. which one of the people above was you talking about.

    • like i said about the guy saying the iraq for oil. i am someone who is inbetween on the war. i support going in and removing saddam but we didn’t have to say about wmds. but what i am getting at is others hate America because anti-American leftist like yourself hate it as well. you going around calling people who love their country and view that we should attack before we are attacked by some one chickenshits and elsewhat. you only have yourself to blame for people like saddam, zarqawi, bin laden, kim jong il, leaders of iran and syria hating us.

  • The angry idiot who posted a comment above is the same kind of coward Bush is.

As others have indicated, the occupation of Iraq is not what most Americans believe is honorable, or that it was ever a just cause. Iraq posed no threat to the United States, but now Bush has made the US a target for hatred and violence for years to come. He is not the world’s smartest guy. And one of the few words he can correctly pronounce is "war". Now he is learning the hard way that most Americans do not ever again want that word to come from his mouth.

The irony for Bush is that he is now being forced to face many of the things he has done. As a result, he is once again a practicing alcoholic, rather than a recovering alcoholic. There is a bit of justice in that, but many Americans hope he will also be indicted or referred to the Senate by the Special Prosecutor, Patrick Fitzgerald. That may or may not happen.

Those who speak like the idiot above are the trash America has to get rid of to join the world community in a responsible manner. I hope we are able to do that.

    • Bu$h is a crook and so are all of his administrators....he has managed to pull the wool over some of the sheep’s eyes though by claiming to be a Christian even thought he gives the Christians a bad name, and standing in front of the flag for photo ops, he is shameless in his use of 9/11 as a guise to conduct his oil war and war for the profit of he and his business friends. He commits his crimes right out in the open knowing full well he will have the support of the other "representatives" who are all on the same bribes list, and the gasbag supreme court that was appointed by scumbags just like him and that will always interpret the laws to allow his crimes to be "legal" and just part of doing America’s business....Bush and his kind give the United States a bad name, other peoples around the world think Americans are like Bush, uneducated, selfish, phony, violent, and worst of all lacking any morals. He is an embarrassment and a fake, and I am glad he has been exposed one more time as the incompetant coke addict that he is.

    • Yes we must pull out of Iraq immediately. Not one day longer!!
Let the Iraqi leadership with the most armed men take control of the people and
run the country as he sees fit. Let him kill off all of the people that
want to be free of tyrany. We don’t want our people to die to free another
man’s country. As long as you don’t bother us we’re fine with whatever you do
to your own people. Just leave us alone. Kill off anybody that disagrees with you
and you will have your perfect little world to live in. We the people of USA really
      don’t care.

    • you claim its a oil war but wheres the oil. is oil prices going up or down. last i checked it was going up than he tapes into our reserves not iraqs to lower them. shows your ignorance.

    • My God you fucking mooncalf..."where’s the oil?"...do you even pay attention to what is happening? Is your puny brain even able to draw an independent conclusion? I am not even interested in trying to educate you, you are too fucking dumb. Go play with yourself, the rest of us know you are a hopeless idiot.

    • hey i’m a different guy then who you replyed to but last time i checked the major source of oil we get from the middle east comes from saudia arabia not iraq just wanting to go along with what he said but if theres something i don’t know tell me.

    • What? The game of "it was someone else not me" is laughable, but no one wants to engage an imbecile give it up, pretending here to be several people has already been tried, and you don’t have what it takes to pull it off....go away.

    • you know its people like this that make other countries hate us. you call the one person an imbecile but it is really you thats the idiot. We are getting oil barrels for the same price now as we were when hussein was in power. gas prices were like 1.30ish before we invaded and have gone up since then. if we were getting oil for cheaper price or if it were for oil it would be back at that level or lower. so dude before you go calling the other person an imbecile learn that facts.

    • i’m not saying i’m a bush supporter, i just came across this. there are many things about bush’s policies i don’t agree with but you say he’s a alcholoc. prove it.

    • You’re such a nitwit that you don’t even realize that every time you post a comment your partial IP number is displayed in the header (209 197). You have been posting about this article since September 25. Not only are you a liar - "I just came across this" - but you are also not too bright - needless to say, a perfect example of a Bush supporter.
