Wars and conflicts International USA
George Bush said speaking about the dreadful loss of life in Iraq in August: (08/03/05): "We have to honor the sacrifices of the fallen by completing the mission." "The families of the fallen can be assured that they died for a noble cause."
In reaction to these two assinine and hurtful statements, members of Gold Star Families for Peace (GSFP) are going to George’s vacation home in Crawford, Tx this Saturday, August 6th at 11:00 am to confront him on these two statements.
1) We want our loved ones sacrifices to be honored by bringing our nation’s sons and daughters home from the travesty that is Iraq IMMEDIATELY, since this war is based on horrendous lies and deceptions. Just because our children are dead, why would we want any more families to suffer the same pain and devastation that we are.
2) We would like for him to explain this "noble cause" to us and ask him why Jenna and Barbara are not in harm’s way, if the cause is so noble.
3) If George is not ready to send the twins, then he should bring our troops home immediately. We will demand a speedy withdrawal.
GSFP will be joined by members of Veteran’s for Peace (VFP), Military Families Speak Out (MFSO), Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW), Code Pink, and Crawford Peace House.
We GSFP members will not leave until we get answers from George Bush. We deserve and expect him to welcome us with answers to as why our loved ones are dead.
Every worker for peace, every worker for justice, every person who wants our country back are welcomed to join us on Saturday. Show George Bush that we mean business. Be there to support us family members who have already been through so much. We are fighting for our country, our world, especially the children.
Crawford is about 2 hours from Dallas where the VFP Convention is being held this weekend. There will be car pools from the convention.
HONOR OUR LOVED ONE’S SACRIFICES: BRING OUR TROOPS HOME NOW!!!!
Bring water and hats...we plan on staying until we are arrested or satisfied with the answers. (I am betting on jail).
Please pass this email on to your friends, lists, and media.

Look at it from a military point of view. Do you know how disruptive the twins presence would be in any service or unit ? Even if Secret Service protection was dropped, a Commanding Officer would spend most of his/her time trying to keep the press away. And do you seriously think they would be allowed to go out in a combat zone ? C’mon folks ! Common sense applies here.

Excuse me?? Elvis gave to the war effort and so can those spoiled brats....it is their dad who believes so in the cause, let’s see a little sacrifice. Do those two girls even know there is a war going on?
"Support Our Troops, Bring Them Home NOW" Hugs to Cindy Sheehan, you have OH MSFO prayers!

Disruptive? Apply common sense? Come on, why didn’t bush and Congress apply common sense in the first place and NOT invade Iraq? As far as I’m concerned, every child and grandchild of every member of Congress plus those in the Administration who wanted this war should be there. First. Foremost. Out in front. If this is such a noble cause, I’m all for letting the NOBLEMEN and their kids get all the honors. NOT MY SONS and GRANDCHILDREN to do bush’s dirty work.

They won’t have to go out into a combat zone, all of Iraq meets that criteria.
Perhaps they could find something to do in a bunker in the Green Zone.
Meet and greet the visitors who fly in, in secretive and mysterious ways to boost the moral of the troops.
They could chat with Rummie that great warrior and Condi the mushroom cloud lady.
Mum could then be encouraged to bring books for the troops and later that old plastic turkey could be dusted off for Dads return for the next Thanksgiving Feast.
A family get together in the very epic center of evil what a great example of Christian Faith in a foreign land this would be for the First Family.

I AM SO GLAD SOMEONE (SHEEHAN) IS VOICING ALL OF THE IDEAS THAT OTHERS HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DO SINCE THE WAR STARTED. SINCE I LIVE IN TEXAS, IT IS NOT NORMAL TO SEE PEOPLE PROTESTING THE WAR. "IT IS HIS STATE," YEAH RIGHT! I WANT TO COME AND BE THERE AT THE RANCH, BUT I DON’T KNOW HOW TO GET THERE. HOPEFULLY I WILL FIND IT SOON. I WILL BE THERE AND STAND FOR PEACE!
GOD BLESS YOU CINDY, WE ARE ALL SO PROUD OF YOUR HEROISM,

Congratulations on your stand against what the Secretary General of the United Nations called an "illegal war." It violated international law, and has truned friends into enemies. The rich are profiting from it, the poor are suffering because of it, the innocent are dying in it, and children are being destroyed.
As a disciple of Jesus Christ, I cannot see how we can save people by killing them, and love them by hating them. As a nation, we hypocritically pray for peace while we prepare for war. Since we have always gotten what we have prepared for, Perhaps it is time for us to pray for war and prepare for peace. We hope to see you in Washington on September 24th.
